Well I have a few hardware question and a few questions about games.Hardware questions are about hardware in games .. ? ~.^ ?
ANYWAY.
HARDWARE..ISH..GAMING QUESTIONS
First of all, does anyone own a belkinN52tE(Or whatever). The 14 key small gamepad keyboard esque thing ? If so, have you gotten good use out of it? All my hardware questions are based around the fact that.. My christmas is over(My family celebrates the day before so my family in europe and other places can actually be with their other family members for christmas and what not..). Essentially I have disposable income and intend on shopping in the next week or so. These specifically are like 20$ in store right now, do you think I'd get the use out of it for it to be worth the purchase ?
Also how many games(MMO FPS, and most FPS')today are coded in 7.1 audio? (I'm looking at Razer megaldon, Lotitech G35, Pysko 5.1 ,and Tritton AXPros I know most are "Fake" but still).
More so on the MMO side..
Whats' up with APB ? I've heard a few rumors about it coming back F2P. Is there a release date? I've done some googling and have had NO INFORMATION.
I've also seen quite a bit of talk about UBO coming back(Ultimate baseball online) at some point, any information there would be GREATLY appreciated.
I still hear talk about DOTA2 and no release dates, have there been any updates ?(I'm just lazy to look for this one LOL)
Another interesting question I have is..Is there information of Torchlights MMO esque game ?(I remember they said they wanted to release one in the future, but I havent read of ANYTHING since)
AND *Takes deep breathe* Is WoW worth another shot 2-3 years later after the multiple updates ? Would you reccomend I try the game again ?
LASTLY..I've heard a lot of good, fun cool things about mabinogi. IE: The ski event they got going on now. Can anyone vouch for it actually being fun ? And / or would anyone like to give the game a shot with me again sometime soon ?
Sorry for the long post, I have a lot of questions lately because I've been out of the loop and because I do have some money to spend now that I have all my christmas stuff done I'm looking to invest a tad bit of money into my rig and gaming.
Thanks for those who actually read this and may reply and help LOL.
Apb is going f2p but unfortunately it was bought by one of the worst F2p companies out there. The same guys who host Warrock bought APB, or Gamersfirst if you don't know. Sucks since it's shitty as hell. If you thought the hacker issue was bad before just wait til Gamersfirst gets it, the hacker issue will increase by over 9000. Also everyone in the game beforehand will be replaced by Turks since thats all that play Gamersfirst nowadays.
Dota2 has no release date at this point but the blog for it is updated regularly I'm pretty sure theres a thread about it somewhere so you can search for it or I'll post the link to it if I can still remember it later.
Torchlight won't become an MMO anytime soon but it is hinted that there will be Coop in the second one so that sounds pretty sweet too.
WoW is worth it if you still liked it beforehand but from what alot of Onrpgers have said it's better and more fun than it was before. I haven't had a chance to play Cata since I'm kinda broke but I'll problaby resub sometime next year unless by then GW2 is out of course.
Mabinogi is a fun game when you make friends right away but playing by yourself is extremely boring and gets dull quick, plus the tutorial is really reall dumb in the actual help it gives.
I'll give APB another shot and hope the company goes through a revelation, becaues this game is not cheap to maintain I presume they'll step their game up a bit if they intend on hosting it for a long period of time.
the n52 is amazing, not so much on the n52te etc. Why? The n52 is pure hardware-based key presses, meaning no game can actually detect that the n52 is a macro (to programs it is just a keyboard being pressed). The n52te etc. uses software emulation which usually doesn't work because either A. the game doesn't want any macros B. they haven't put thought into creating an interface for software key presses.
More than 2 channel audio is simply a joke. Games already try to position their audio and do so perfectly with 2 streams. We don't have more than 2 ears, why in god's name would we ever want more than 2 interfaces to our 2 ears? Buy headphones/earbuds, wait for a few years for games to stop this trend. (It should be noted that I am a complete supporter of more quality streams but we only need 2.)
