I did it again using UK version of hotspot shield and that key I got worked, maybe someone jacked my key using that proxy since it's not the safest thing to be using.

First time I made a new account because I didn't want to enter my password in that proxy since my EA account has other games on it like Tiger Woods and BFBC2 etc. Second time I used my actual EA account but it was through a VPN which to me is a lot safer and that worked fine now it's linked to my account.
I just hope EA doesn't find out and like ban me or some crap now, would hate to loose all my licenses to my other games.

The game will be attached to the account you made the purchase with, so you don't need any key.
And NO this won't work with Steam.

If the game is on your EADM than your fine, if you click the ? it'll show you the activated key.
Mine actually was, didn't show up on my EADM and when I tried to manually enter it, that's when it said it was in use.
