Torchlight:
1- how many players can play together?
2- how many players can be in pvp? if have one
League of Legends:
1- how many players can play together?

both games are free right?
is both of them challenging? or super easy like Dungeon Runners?

what? torchlight 1 does not have multiplayer online at all???? wow and here i was thinking to play torchlight. so guess i have to wait for 2......

Torchlight doesn't have multiplayer, number 2 will.

League of Legends:
1. up to 5 persons, including you. VS other 5 players.
2. It's a PVP-based game, so, that's it.

and yeah it's free, with cash shop -> doesn't unbalance the game
AND yes, it's challenging since you're playing vs other people, some of them are good, others not so well, but it's fun!

Some dude is actually making a patch for torchlight to have multiplayer (I assume its a co-op sort of thing) not really sure how long its going to take though

Cannot stress that enough. LoL isn't an MMO, or anything like other free games for that matter. The cash shop doesn't give any 'power' or anything of the sort, you can buy alternative skins for the champions and exp/ip boosts to make you earn them faster.
Probably the best cash shop I've seen in a game.

league of legends is definitely challenging for someone whose new to the genre.
lots of champions to pick, lots of items to buy. mechanics of the game. neutral creeps.
it will take time to get to know the whole game.
if you have 9 friends to play it with you, you can go 5v5 with your friends in custom games.
