Uhm, all I can say is, set up the BIOS the way I said, additionally disable automatic restart.
Than disconnect all the external and internal hardware, which is not absolutely necessary.

You can also boot into the console mode of recovery and run a chkdsk for all disks with
Chkdsk /R X:

If you don't get it to work this way post on these forums in a similar manner than in this thread, with all the error codes you get:

No you do not need an internet connection. Offline just means "doesn't start when invoked" here.
