At least I am able to find a good example unlike you who just whine and moan about anything posted.

They need to remake the dual-class system which is the only turn off for me. Not to mention class imbalances.

Whoever runs their internal networks is at fault, not him. They have the ability to force certain levels of password security such as the use of capitals, numbers, non-alphanumeric characters and never reusing a password and/or any part of a password over again. So it is the network admins at fault, not one of the users.

Props to him for exploiting a security vulnerability, some of you may think that it's a 10 year old kid who did this but he sure ain't. A 10 year old doesn't even know basic algebra.

It doesn't take much to do a brute force attack and then copy and paste. Just saying.

I tried out a brute force attack on my parents' windows account at the age of 11. It isn't hard.

Really? So how'd you execute a brute force attack? Did you make a script? Or did you just guess your parent's passwords(that counts at brute force too!)

It was pretty much just using a program I downloaded with an included dictionary. It was done against a recovery environment log in basically.

Of course now there's ways to just wipe out the password from the registry via a dos or unix based program.

Come to think about it, why is it that two archaic operating systems annihilate the defenses of more modern operating systems?

Oh so you used a script in the 98 era to guess the password of your parent's account in offline? And you're comparing it to the 2010 era getting the information of people in an online database and calling him a 10 year old kid. Cool.

    You can stop posting now.

I was mostly illustrating the fact that with the internet it is possible to learn to do things. Yes what he did is far more advanced and he's likely not 10. But an intelligent 10 year old could learn to do it if they wanted to.

Also I think hackers (malicious ones) can go die in a fire. Including this asshat.

I really thing you guys don't get what happened at all...

I highly doubt hes 10. If he was 10 he *most likely* wouldn't think of covering his tracks (using numerous IP"s to mask his location) and would be caught right away. The same goes for his youtube account/post which could easily be used to trace his original IP. If hes not caught yet then he is not an average 10 year old hacker.

As for the brute force, hell yes Aimee could have easily used a BF program in Win 98. Brute force has been around for awhile with MANY different programs over the years. The ones that are used now are just more upgraded and programmed better.

To be honest, even getting to there database and storing the info is probably to hard for mostly everyone here on Onrpg. I would like to see the people that said that it's just some 10 year old kid with a brute force do the same exact thing he did.

Better yet, get me 10 usernames (Not even the passwords) without guessing that's from there actual database and then you will prove me wrong.

Edit: And just to be clear on the Brute Force. All it is is a program that constantly checks each username with a pre loaded password over and over again. However, when this is happening forgsters servers and security would have picked this up right away. If they didn't catch him then, then hes not a 10 year old hacker.

Well said project. I never doubted the fact that he used a brute force attack in 98. What was funny though is him comparing his *feat* to this thread. After saying that there we're only two endings to the story, first is if he made his own script at 98 I go wow and +respect to him or if he does some other thing and I go HA HA.

Turns out I went HA HA. That's the funny thing about showing off, sometimes you get laughed at.

P.S. Aimee you've been watching far to many animes. An intelligent 10 year old kid could never do anything like this unless he's a freak of nature.
