Okay, time to cut the bull shit and do some, somewhat, intellectual ranting for a bit here.
So, as I sat here on OnRPG last night, I came to a decision that would lead to me ultimately picking out every single thing a REAL nerd does. Yes, the term has changed, it's no longer some kind of techno fiend who wears sweater vests and big glasses. Times have changed. The same thing happened with flannel. In the 80's, it wasn't cool, but in the 90's it was the biggest fad on the planet with the arrival of the crappiest music on earth, "Grunge". Now, in my defense, not all "Grunge" sucks. Some of it is very good, but the part of the genre that is bad, is simply horrible.
So, on to the point. I come across the crap all day long. I'd like to call it "New Wave Nerd", and I will abbreviate it as NWN.
Nerds these days have ditched Carly Simon and The Beegee's, and have moved on to "Metallica" or any other crappy band that has the label "Metal" on it. I'm tired of walking in to my favorite comic book stores and seeing some forty year old, entirely attired in a "Rammstein" shirt, at a table offering to play me in pokemon. Sure, he could be a nice guy, I think most of the time, but he smells bad. Really bad. Plus his pony tail isn't doing the job for me.
Now, NWN's have some very recognizable clique properties, and in this rant, I will state them by number.
1) NWN's love AMV's ^ ^ =3. Yeah, shut the **** up. Your AMV's suck. I felt like eating shit the other day when I walked in to my sisters room to find a song by "Evanescence" being played over clips from the video game "Kingdom hearts". Nothing says NWN more to me than that. AMV's are the worst offense. They're not even GOOD.
2) My least favorite out of all the NWN's tendancies is the inflamatory comments towards "Emo's".
"OMGS DEY ALLZ LOOK DA SAME?!?!" AND YOU DON'T, ****FACE?!
It's not funny any more. Shut the **** up.
3)NWN's are loud and obnoxious. I have a couple at my school, no not a couple, a whole ****ing army of people that dress the same and look like shit. I can't go ONE DAY with out having some pimply faced ***** wearing a KORN shirt yelling some stupid random remarks. Listen, being loud and sarcastic was over a long time ago. It's over, die please.
4) NWN's like those cheap *** shirts from hot topic with some shitty phrase on it, that's supposed to be clever and witty, but it's any thing but that.
"Your shirt says princess, but your face says troll.", is an example of one of these shitty T-shirts. Just take a look at the douche bag wearing it.
5) NWN's like to use Anime terms in real life. That's kind of self explanatory.
6) They all have ugly girl friends. I can't even tell you how many ugly guys in bondage pants I see holding hands with some girl with fat over lapping her belt. It's even worse when you see them making out.
7) Just because I hate every thing about them, doesn't mean I can't socialize with them. Last time I tried, they crowded around me and told their buddies to "**** him!". Then the mock humping commenced. They all smelled pretty bad. Worse than the trash can they threw me in.
8 ) NWN's female contenders, generally, tend to be nice, but at the same time, ugly, slutty, and stupid.
9) NWN's like necklaces. Necklaces with dragons. That makes me angry.
10) I can't recall the abundance of "System of a down" on the NWN's Myspaces, because it was so overwhelming.
11) NWN's are not strong because they're in "JROTC". So please cut the bull shit.
12) Slayer isn't emo. God should smite you for not only being an idiot, but disgracing Slayer in a way. (To make things clear, I hate Slayer)
I don't know how many I left out, but I know I could have probably came up with more if I was actually at school, soaking in their awful presence.
Nerd used to be definitive, and some what cool. But now it's just dumb.
