So i've had my computer(gateway: LX6810-10) For probably a year now, when i bought it it was fairly new and had no reviews and by looking at the specs i thought it was fairly nice for its price.
However now if you read any review of it you'll see mostly over heating issues some say video card, some say processor etc.
having my fair share of geeksquad, and breaking my warranty(opening it to clean and what not) i cant take it to them and wouldn't anyways.
I've made it this far with this computer by putting a gigantic wall fan on the open side of it which seems to prevent it from overheating(and the motherboard shutting it down to prevent damage). But its pretty loud and am seeking a more uh, logical, and quieter solution.
Heres a pic of some temps
So as you can see, clearly indicated by these monitors my gpu is obviously way hotter than it should be, thus im thinking about just upgrading my nvidia geforce gt 120, and buying some case fans.
As for cards i have nvidia chipsets so its recommending i get nvidia cards, but says also works just as well with ati.
my first choice being the whole nvidia case would be;
However i have no idea if either of these and some fans will resolve my issues which is why im here. so any tips and opinions are greatly appreciated if you have any questions i can try and answer them to help aid you in answering me.
