Default Deciding Whether i should buy DC Universe

Ima still uncertain if i should buy DC Universe. It looks like a good game. But i am curious, what is there to do at end game? I know that there are end game raids, but what else is there? How is the pvp in that game> is the game worth buying and playing? If anything else, plz post! thank you

Aside from end game raids there are Duos and there are Alerts. Duos are pretty much instance based missions for only 2 players to complete. Alerts are instance based too, but take much longer and require bigger groups.

There are 3 tpes of pvp. First is Ring War. Thats where any number of heroes / villians can show up and battle over something.. never really tried it. There also room based pvp (3v3 4v4 5v5) and legends pvp, which is you playing as an iconic DCU figure (batman, Harley Quin etc) . If youre on the open world pvp server, you can just gank anyone or be ganked at any time aside from being in instances. Doing ring War and room based pvp earns you points for pvp gear, but not the open world ganking. I would say the pvp in DCUO is fun.

From my experience so far, only pick this up for end-game pvp. The pve gets bland fast.

i would say for now its not worth it unless you plan to play casually, the game is lacking in endgame content. but if you do play casually and dont rush for end game ect then imo it's worth it.

After playing endgame myself, I would recommend the game if you enjoy team based content a lot from duo's to raid type stuff. The solo content really doesn't' change much, but its more focused on group content. This is actually a good time to jump in since they are planning on monthly content updates with there being a good amount of endgame to do such as collecting armor sets and so on.

    PVE Raid and dungeons.

    I don't consider PVP endgame.

    I'm a PVE player myself.
Raids, Duos, and Alerts all require level 30. So there is an endgame.

Me and a friend both got this a day or so after it was released.

Both me and said friend lost interest in the game before the free month was even over.

I got to 30, did some duos, but that was about it because the other queues were unbearably long, and and lairs you did get in to were buggy ones that were already completed.

Not to mention the servers are down half the time, so you can't even play that often.

Is DCU worth buying -now-? No. In a couple months when they (hopefully) have fixed a lot of issues and have new content such as more powers, weapons, mentors, etc? Then I'd say it's worth a try.

I'd say if you're willing to buy it for a month's play it's worth it. But if you want it for the long term hold off for now. (TBH I'd like my $40 dollars back, but oh well.)

As with any MMO that releases, never buy it when it first comes out. Every MMO that I've bought in its first week of release was buggy and glitchy that it made the money not worth it. Wait a few months, maybe even a year, before buying DCUO because quite frankly, it fails right now.

seriously, take a cane and whack anyone saying DCUO does not have endgame content. It means they never really played the game and just shooting off their mouths.

The only down side to the green lantern update is that half the server is going to reroll as a hard light char which will make queues a total *****. I mean seriously... I don't know how many times I que up for an alert and get tossed into a full damage team, or full controler group...

The end game is great, if you have a group premade to run it. If you don't you are screwed 9/10 or as stated in a previous post, you get stuck in a bugged instance that wont reset for an hour and forces you to wait a c/d to get in a new one.

Still I'm enjoying the game... sadly I'm not going to resub till they fix the current flaws, some of them are just too game breaking for me.
