    Actually the United states just passed a law that lets you take firearms onto the train. It has to be secured and unloaded though. Also the guy was just sitting there and watched her get stripped so he got himself a show before he was told by her sister that he should do something.

    in a way they kind of do, they add a scare factor to doing stuff. if there weren't laws about stealing i am sure a lot of people would be out doing it, not that they already don't but a lot more would. most people are smart enough to think 'hey if i get caught i can get 10-20+ years in jail' which then scares them out of it. of course there are the people who don't care and think there smart enough to get away with it.
