    Default PoxNora Going F2P

Yup... When I was looking over DC at their site, I looked at PoxNora and discovered it is going F2P on Feb 16th...
It's the moment we've all been waiting for...

PoxNora's 16th Expansion, Heroes' Dawn, will be launching Wednesday, February 16th, 2011!

Also launching with the expansion is our new Free to Play system and Player Rewards Store!

I also discovered a bit of info on how the F2P works...
PoxNora is going Free to Play with an Alternate Currency (Gold!) and a NEW Store!

It’s been a long time coming and it’s taken a lot of blood, sweat, and pixilated tears, but we’re just about ready to roll out our new Free to Play system! This is a Player Rewards system where you earn gold for playing PoxNora and can spend your gold in our new store for all sorts of shiny, awesome goodies. And when I say awesome, I mean awesome.

    Here is the skinny:

    1) Players will gain our new currency gold for playing PoxNora in all its forms. This includes 1v1, 2v2, Single Player, and Daily games. Drums of War winners will also be rewarded large amounts of gold.

    2) Players will be able to go into the NEW AWESOME SINGLE RUNE AND MORE STORE and turn their gold in for, among other things, Rune Packs, Tokens, and even some SINGLE RUNES!

    3) The fragment system will be going away, forever. Seriously. Fragments will no longer drop in campaigns. Fragments will no longer clog up your inventory. Fragments will no longer taunt you with their mostly useless luster. However, fragments will also no longer BE worthless. FOR A LIMITED TIME, you will be able to exchange your fragments in for some shiny new gold!

NOTE: Gold will not be tradable.

This is a light version of what we have in store for Pox, but we wanted to let you in on our little secret. We’re sure you have questions, so, fire away!

TBH, I went to Sony Station looking at DC. I noticed PoxNora by looking over the games they have there. Tried out the tutorial starter packs and liked what each faction has to offer (8 in total).

If you want something different but fun, try it out. I enjoy it a lot. It reminds me of the times I played Warhammer 40K minis.

You can also gain free station credits. 250 for signing up for Free Realms. Dont know about any other signs ups.

That can get you 2 starter packs of a faction you like, and you need 2 to make a full battlegroup (30 runes). That will leave you with 50 Station Credits.

The fragments he talks about are earned through each fight in the campaigns and I believe each Starter pack campaign.

The nice thing about it is that your Runes (Champions units) gain exp (CP) to rank up. Each unit ranks up at 100 and 200 exp. I mainly play forgler so i only can vouch for their decent ranked champions.

I hope you guys try it out or give it a second try if you played it in the past. I believe this will be a great F2P game that can consume a lot of your time.

For me it sounds like you can put hard work in the game to achieve "X"
or just spend some cash to achieve "X".

Doesn't really appeal to me, but as a F2P it might be worth a try for some :J
