You realize all the WoW players are defending themselves against Rift? Lmao, so far, Trion is doing way better than Blizzard has done. Blizzard is scared of Trion, i just know it. Trion is going to be very successful.

Reputation: 45No one is defending nothing mate, it's good to see a successful MMO that can compete WoW. Also as I've seen on their forums they had 1 mil. accounts registered, so it will be interesting if Blizzard is going to have an competitor.
But the thing we were talking was that Rift will be more imbalanced than WoW in PvP, taking in consideration that WoW is not balanced with less talents and not to take Rift in account in which you can be almost every class.![]()
Lol Blizzard isnt scared of Rift, they arent losing to Trion but yes they are going to be successful. Also, no one here is defending WoW. Just stating that we think WoW is alot better a choice for a p2p mmo especially as a first one.
(and the armor is still loads better in WoW than Rift regardless)
Reputation: 10I wanna play a game because of many factor not because of the looks of armor it is such a minor problem lol
i know u didnt put GW as an option but their pvp is pretty fun and pretty balanced if you know what u are doing. some people will just say "no way its balanced pick a sin or derv and u are unstoppable" but thats totally not true. but for the 3 u said i would go with wow. i played rift in 3 of the cbts and wasnt anything special.
If I were you I would go Rift only because it'll cost you only 50 dollars, and you'll be one of the first to play it, giving you a headstart on a new MMO.
However, if you find Rift to be lacking, then you should dish out the 100+ dollars to get all of what WoW has to offer. Of course you can do the free trial first.
Currently WoW is undoubtedly the better game, especially if it is your first p2p.
Rift...
Wow is dead to me now, cata despite anything good they implemented, just completely ruined wow and the novelty of it..
For example, to gear up for pve you must first get some average gear to be able to queue for heroics.. Couple days tops if you play 3-6 hours a day, granted many people dont get that liberty..
Nextly, DOING heroics, expect 30m - 45 min queues every single time as a dps (Healing and tanking are much harder in cata also, a simple dps class is best for a newbie at mmo's)
After that expect to take 30 m - 1h of your time on every heroic, sometimes more if your group is unco and dies a lot.
Now lets look at the pvp side of it... Frost mages are op to the point of you mightaswell just sit there when you come across a skilled fromage and let them kill you, Hunters got punched in the *** at 85 for pvp so one of the best counters to a caster is now quite the meatshield...
Undoubltly, cata completely ruined wow, I'm not subbing to WoW ever again as a result, they just plain ****ed up.
Rift looks as if it could be a great game, has potential and thats my choice.
As for aion, never tried it but my mate told me to stay away from it
Lol mages are not OP since 4.0.3. Still strong but not OP. Learn to play.
Also... just because gear isnt thrown at you like a baby like in wrath it makes the game worse? You shouldnt have been playing to begin with.
Oh well, better for players like you to not be in this game. Have enough wrath babies as it is.
EDIT: Oh yes, Not to mention with the queues.... ITS CALLED A GUILD. Find one instead of being a loner and get MANY benefits including but not limited to a tank for instant queuing. Altho I will agree that heroics are a bit to long.

Reputation: 10i won't need to spend another 100$ to get the game as i already have played WoW and have a 85 warrior but i am currently subbed to Aion and i was wondering if i should stay or if there is anything better i kinda miss WoW but as i said before it is like impossible to make new friends as everything you do is across server ( example: bg , dungeon ) and all the good raiding guild on my realm never needed new people so we new people never get the chance to get the ''best gear'' maybe it is possible to do it in a pug but i never seen it happen if i ever do play WoW again i am probably going to switch to a populated realm so making a RAid doesn't always take 2 hours.![]()
Reputation: 192Rift is alot of more fun than WoW from the start. You meet lot's of people, lot's of dynamic events all over the world map, and there's always action somewhere near... to be honest, the low level expieriance in Rift is just fantastic already. which.. in most MMo's is a bit boring and lacking.
Reputation: 47+1, people got used to easy mode imo, if they played AQ40 or Naxx they would of throw their pc through their window.
I haven't played WoW in years, and Aion since a long time aswell...but for sure WoW can be a billion times more fun so i'd say WoW too.
As for Rift...no idea about that game, considering fresh new releases usually are bad, buggy and unpolished i would say WoW being released so many years ago is so polished that there is no way you can't enjoy it at least a little bit.
From my experience, playing a game right when it releases is not a good choice, it takes time to make a game "great".
Reputation: 65To all the "WotLK players are scrubs" dumbasses: WoW reached it's maximum popularity during WotLK meaning that the game was at it's absolute best. So get off your high horses and realize not everyone has no life like you do.
Anyways, I'd say if you can, find a way to try all 3. Wow is truly great, although in a rough spot at times now, and RIFT has much of the same amazing polish that makes WoW so amazing. As to Aion, it has my favorite combat out of the three and it is still among my favorites, although I quit after all my friends left it.
Edit: My first statement is a bit harsh, but seriously lay off it. People have different opinions of what makes a game good and both sides need to realize this. I'm just as guilty in my defending it as people are about bashing it.
Reputation: 107Battle Field Bad Company 2 some of the best pvp I have seen. The three options you have all suck.
scorpio
Actually, it may have been the most popular but it died out pretty quickly. A lot of people quit in the middle of it. We're talking mid-Ulduar because it was too easy and the game got boring.
As for Vanilla WoW, if you think Cata was broken, you should've seen it back then. Everyone either mained a rogue or had a 60 rogue alt. They were so broken as hell, it was stupid. Resilience didn't exist back then so that meant if they crit on an ambush, you were dead (if you wore cloth) and you would die in a stunlock.
As for Vanilla Naxx.... >>

Reputation: 47That's why WoW was succesful for the most part...it was never focused on hardcore players only, even casual players could enjoy the game.
On the other hand, it started focusing too much on casual play...the game became so easy that it was boring.
I mean...when you saw someone with Tier 3 it was like...WOAH!!! Thats...unique? It was a crazy achievement to get a piece of Tier 3, imagine full set...
My best time in WoW...i leveled from 40 to 59 by doing bg's only, insanely fun on a PvP guild.
My second best time...right before TBC when my feral druid got so nicely buffed! What a killing machine!!! Pop bear form...you let the rogue hit you for 30 seconds...press 2 skills and win, poor rogues![]()

Reputation: 38your trolling is so obvious is clear you lack any ground to actually comment about anything on this threadlol okay my guild didn't clear AQ40 in classic no I'm lying. I suck I have no right saying wrath was easy nooo silly me....go choke idiot. The insane amount of people that agree with the fact of wrath being easy are all stupid idiots.
nice try tho
Reputation: 192To be honest, I never liked WoW that much, it was so boring..
I never did Ulduar because raiding was boring. Last time I raided seriously was Sunwell in TBC. Got my Hand of A'dal title, etc, etc. But the reason I did it was because being a Ret Gladiator, required you to be heavily geared and use PVE trinkets.
