How many read the WHOLE thread before posting?
Well, this came to me several times when I would happen upon posts contemplating somthing already proven or droped, and I wondered how many people on these forums a majority of the time just read the first post and suddenly reply without reading any other post?
Well?
Question is, how often? (all responses are annonymous, unless you post your response)
edit: also, the quotes are just example thoughts, of coarse

Everyone is most likely guilty of that at one time or another. Although I think if a thread starts getting really long most people just read the last couple of pages, then post.

if its very long like 7 threads i usually read the first page and the last 2 pages. but if its 2~4 i usually read the whole thread.

Depends.
If I'm short on time, and it's a pretty basic topic, I just scan over it quickly.
If I'm short on time and it's an important topic(like a debate), I save my place and return later.
Otherwise, I read all the way through.

If it's short I'll read the whole thing, if it's long I'll skip around seeing what's what. Maybe if I'm on a topic for a long time I'll eventually read through the whole thing up till I started. But other than that I only read what's necessary then continue onward.

I read one by one if the thread is intresting or the pages is'nt that big, but I usually not post anything if the thread is like 7pages/8pages?!

Whoops, read the poll wrong. Thought it would've been the same as the title. You switched it up on me! Heh, no big deal though.
Anyways, I'd say I read the entire thread a good 90% of the time, even if it's pretty long. Always interesting hearing other people's thoughts.

But on a serious note, I usually read through it all. If it's a really long topic I do the read the last few pages thing. And I usually don't read REALLY long posts.

I usually read the the first page, then if i haven't found anyone to quote there I'll go to the second... Then if I haven't found anyone to quote again I'll just read the last then post my opinion.
