for me IE much faster when loading images
That is one of the longest artical/post/blog w/e I have ever seen lol... Anyway, there are ways you can config firefox to open up ports and stuff to make it load extremly fast. My loading usually takes about .5sec for a regular page of posts. As for images, I'm pretty sure it loads faster than I can look. IE is pretty good if it was stable, for me that is. Hopefuly IE 7 will make me wanna come back.

Well they are myths. o_O
Reputation: 71Talk about slow browsers.. I'm using AOL. The first thing it does is disable Internet Explorer so you can't use that anymore. And the wait is terrible. You have to enter the website twice because the first time it comes up randomly with a AOL search page. Its so screwy. They should call it LOL cuz its nothing more than a joke.
AOL? Oh my god.
Reputation: 71Oh and did I mention how you just randomly lose connection. Like my PSP has a better Scanned Connection than this hard connection. You don't even have to be on the web and you'll lose it. Its so retarted.
Step 1. Get rid of AOL.

First, it's correcting this one guy's lies about firefox.
Actully, it seems like that on some net speeds, but it is alot faster.
What firefox does is it waits for the basic page lay-out to load before it displays anything, that way you get a nice clean loading, but you can disable the wait. Can't remember how, but theres a way in the config.
Read it through and you will learn that the guy does more then just refere to myths. He out-right lies
That there is illegal. You legaly should be able to use your own choice of browser. Something is wrong there.
Not really. Opera is a great browser.
The thing is, this guy is putting it as if Firefox is the worse browser ever, and IE(and those that use the IE engine) are the best.
Opera is very good. The main things is it is speedy and runs very light.
But firefox is an all-purpose browser.
Basicly, Opera is a finely tuned sports car that will go very fast, but you got to stick to the highway.
Firefox is a rugged SUV that can go anywhere, do anything, and so much more. But it's a bit big and slower.
Really, you got to use which one is good for you.
For example, with me, I got Opera on my iMac because it's a very old and slow system. Opera works perfectly for it.
But for my main system, I got Firefox(pimped to hell out too).
I'm just pointing out to all of these people that always link to this web-sight that they are supporting someone that spams, lies, Ping-Floods, and so much more.
Well, like I said, if I gotta do something like this to make sites work, then I might as well just use IE. I personally didn't notice much better speeds in Firefox anyways and I don't much care for the tabs.
Tried this, it made some sites (even sites that don't use ActiveX) really messed up. Maybe I did something wrong, but meh, IE is fine.
BTW, could you link me to the "ActiveX extention"? Maybe I was using a different/crappier one...
Reputation: 10I use both Opera and Firefox i use Opera as my main It loads faster it performs faster it uses less Ram i use firefox for like 2 plugins that i like in it otherwise firefox is crap to me.
It eats all my RAM is SLOW and takes forever to load even after i appy tweaks its still slower and eats more ram than opera so i use opera for general surfing![]()
