Sounds abit hard to believe ^ but it is mainlly true as though its wasnt all ways free battleforge has become one of the first free to play e.a games and while it takes time and effort to gain the rewards a paying player would get in a way for me thats half the game:
Buying when the markets low and selling when its high
Participating in giveaways run by the players for the players in a nice community of players
Customizing your perfect army combing card/units,buildings and spells
to make the perfect combinations
4 diffrent colors to play and you can change and combine them at anytime for example my one of my army/decks is 2 half's shadow 1 qwarter nature and 1 qwarter frost
Nature: Heal your units while disabling the enemys
Shadow: Blow up your units to destroy the entire enemys base
Frost: Make the unkillable defence
Fire: Rush your enemy or just kill them through powerfull spells or massive units
