    Default Linux games

Alright, so I'm going to be playing some games along the lines of..

    Regnum
    Savage 2
    Vandetta online

Anyone interested ? I'm of course still using my PC to game, but I'm WANT to eventually transition to completely linux (I need to get used to the interface FAST; my work place is changing scenes soon)

Anyone else whom games on a LINUX..Do you happen to play LoL through wine ? I'm having trouble with it.

Oh, I forgot to mention my oh so favourable quake live and Puzzle pirates .

To be completely honest, if you plan to game, using Linux only is like shooting yourself in the foot.

This. I don't see how your job transitioning requires you to natively run linux only in your home.

Not to mention a dual boot is really easy to setup.

Or you can use VirtualBox to run a virtual machine.

Unfortunately work is unlike school..Your work actually requires you to like work and do your job..When you work with computers you typically need to work with the computers that your job operates with at home.

    Yeah, who would have thought..

Its' more convenience then anything. I dont want to have to partition a hard drive into 300000000 pieces to game and in all honesty MOST things are being transferred to linux natively.I'm going to be using the larger side of my hard drive for work; and then things that I actually do personally that linux is generally better for. So having to constantly re-calab. space is just inconvenient. Slowly but surely, now can we get off the fact that people like..You know use things that aren't PCS and get onto the OP ?

Like I said, Dual Booting and Virtual Machines are really easy to use. I happen to run Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux on my machine currently. Also not everything will find its way to Linux. Directx based games are all Windows based and Wine is extremely limited in its emulation. And to get better support with Wine, you have to use subscription services, which really hampers things.

Well by that logic I better switch my home machines over to redhat before my performance at work suffers! Damn windows hampering my ability to use open source office suites.

Theres' also this cool thing called having hobbies that aren't gaming..But I mean thats' OBVIOUSLY something you dont think about, its' work-home-videogames ?

Stop getting off topic, if you want to get into a fight involving direct attacks take them elsewhere, I'm not interested in opinions on linux.

    Thanks.

I'll be lurking this, proud Ubuntu user. Have no interest to ever going back to Windows. Ubuntu > Windows
