    Default Dragon Age 2

Who's got it? I never played the first one so I didn't know what to expect coming into the game but it's pretty good so far.

    What do you guys think?

I got it on PC and find it alright. *edit* I should note it was a lot better than I'd expected after playing the demo, with the addition of high resolution textures and overall better performance in retail.

I prefer Origins even though I think that game had it's fair share of issues but honestly this game is taking way too much gripe, sure they streamlined and simplified it so it plays more like a console game it's still a lot of fun to play.

Similar to what they did with ME2 and in the end even people who hated ME2 at first started to like it after playing it for awhile so I'm sure all the haters will fade.

I think you'll have the benefit of judging the game fairly having not played Origins which is good. It's taking some getting used too for me especially after finishing Neverwinter Nights 2 I'm still used to having that tactical view also having much more freedom over my character and companions to customize. But at the same time it's nice to not really have to worry about builds and screwing up your characters or not having good enough gears, in DA2 they've pretty much force you along the best path.

My final verdict if I were to score the game out of ten it would 8/10.

I like it, the dialogue wheel, the combat, the story. The only gripe I have is that they keep reusing dugeons, every single dungeon is the same or have 1 or 2 rooms that are the same. At least with DA Origins every place feels unique but DA2 turns them generic and less appealing.

I also liked the DA Origins characters better (Morrigan ), the only ones in DA2 I like is varric cause of his voice and humor and a bit of Aveline the rest imo are annoying or lack something that make me want to choose them as my companion.

Yea that's one thing I don't like either, makes the developers seem lazy I mean it's already one city why keep re-using the same quest maps.

I really like it so far, I hate how they took out Arcane Warrior for mages, they were OP but needed for insane mode.
Dunno about the other versions but the 360 version has such crappy text sizes, UGH!
So far I'm 2 hours in as a Rogue, I'm liking it so far definitely seeing Varric as my favorite companion.

Potions limited depending ur game mode
Huh, then how is it I had excesses of 50+ potions?

The dialogue wheel is meh, the main character says diffrent stuff than in the wheel
Ever play Mass Effect? The dialog wheel shows the MEANING behind what is being said, not copy-paste exactly what will be said, word for word.

You cant change ur companions armors
Companions are their own people instead of mindless slaves that will wear whatever you tell them to, whenever you want them to. You can upgrade their armor, however.

    Junk items
You must hate every single game with an inventory/shop system then.

    Enemys can come from everywhere.
Oh dear, so now you actually have to move your characters around instead of just the typical "Warrior in front, mages in back. ??? Profit!" tactic?

Assassins can 1 hit you or take half of ur tanks hp.
The damage must be boosted insanely high in hard/nightmare mode, then. On normal they could only take off 50% or more health off my mages. Never one shots.

Nightmare potion limit is 4, so if ur in maps and u got over 4 potions u wont get anymore potions drops, if you have below 4 potions you can get only potions until u got 4 again. Thats the limit i was talking about, also the cooldown is so annoying on em.

The dialogue wheel thingie. I have pressed several times some options thinking it would say what i want to say, but it ends up something diffrent. I remeber a quest, where they were talking about handing some1 over. For me i knew that he didnt do anything wrong, so i chose the brute option, which was saying Slay them all and the results was that he told the templars to slay the hostages. I was like wtf, that i didnt want to happen. Reloaded.

Woot on some battles i remeber, i havent finished killing them and already another wave come. Could be nightmare/hard might be mistaken.

The assassin thing is kinda lame, my main hero is rogue and he dosent have even that much hp even though im trying to make him as bulky as possible. I also cant 1 hit mages. Also FF dosent work on enemys. When enemy mages cast spells, their teamates dont get hurt.
