Tetris - Obviously.
Plants vs. Zombies - Tower defense type game
Sky burger - Tilt the iPod to make burgers. Surprisingly addictive and hard!
Fruit Ninja - Slice fruit. Fuuuun!
Angry Birds - Overrated 2D slingshot-knocks-stuff-over game, but still fun
Cut The Rope - Cutesy-wutesy simple puzzle game
Tiny Wings - Simple one-touch play game, but hard to get really good at the game

Probably getting plants vs zombies... but I was thinking more long-term type of games like monkey island, etc...

It's not free (infact quite expensive compared to your usual ipod touch game (5$), but it's a DS port..), but there's the first ace attorney on Ipod touch, pretty good I must say... ... how will you charge your ipod touch's batteries ? I hope there's some way for you to recharge on your trip, playing on it kills the batteries in 2~~ hours

Second question. When you have pirated music on your ipod and you make an apple account, you then use that account to get a game.. meaning you will have to connect to apple. So now that you are connected to apple, will apple check your device and detect pirated music? Which will then set of a quite unpleasing alarm and also launch the appledemons to haunt my feline ***.

Your a pally cat not like normal cat you should be able to handle the demons no problem.

Really, ipod touches arent really meant to be played games on, it kills batteries and make them heat, so yeah, the capacity is worse than a gameboy for games, it will last long when you listen to music though.

I've had no apple-demon problems over here.
