Can actually rap ?
The thing I get from a lot of battle rappers is, they can do battles..But if they step into a studio or infront of a mic at home they can't do SHIIIIIIIIIIIT.
Its' odd to see a battle rapper actually have a nice sound for MUSIC too.
Kinda old, but I just thought I'd post this here and see what people think about music VS battler.

Lol well alot of battle rappers don't make good music.
Theirs a small percentage of them that can battle and make good music.
In charrons case he's only 18 and is a freestyle genius.But his voice doesn't sound good on a track.Not yet anyway.
Loe pesci is an amazing battler,Top 5 in the world, and he makes good music.
Theirs a few others but hes an example of a well rounded rapper.

MCing/Rapping is a skill that's part of hip hop culture. It doesn't mean you'll make great hip hop music.
That's because most battle MCs are at their best when they have a person to deal with and they can write a creative three or so verses aimed at them. If they have to creatively come up with rhymes that don't involve battling, they often fall short.
I don't think Loe Pesci is top five either, to be honest.

That's fine.He is in my list as theirs not alot of Battle MCs who are on his level with the pen and have such a fluent and clean flow.

I really don't think dumb, dirt(And arguable iron..) deserve on the list with the rest of those names.
Thesaurus and illmac are going to have trouble rushing through the GP this year, I def. think arcane and dose and poRich seems to be bringing some heat he hasnt in a LONG time.
Dirt is..Not a good MC IMO. Funny cat, but bad rapper.
The fact is, to be a good musician and not write in a always funny and offensive way takes different skill that battle rapping doesen't promote.(I mean the lyracal side is comparable..but its' a completely different way)

What do you mean when you say, "In my opinion"? Dirt would skin higher than 90% of MCs in any battle league.
Arcane is lame. He relies too much on bringing personals that may or may not be true. His wins, when he hasn't robbed people, are based on people believing the shit he says. Charron cooked him and got robbed, Bender destroyed him.
I didn't forget them, they just suck. Q.P. has nothing. Against Soul Khan all he could do was act like a racist prick, and against Dizaster all he could do was stand there while he got decimated.How could you forget J fox and QP?
But seriously that's a good list.I agree that Illmac Bender and Soul khan are better.
Conceited's punch line game is crazy but his flow isn't on the same level.
Thesaures can be amazing at times and underwhelming at other times(like against arcane),but still is beast in general.
Dirt is incredible and is getting his name up.Sensa is very creative.

I actually love writing rhymes, be it for battle or not, because I have the mind for it. Lyrically having free reign to verbally pick apart another human is very appealing to me, all in fun. Especially since I have thick enough skin that disses don't bother me.
I just don't have the voice for it, I don't feel I can do it justice, so I leave it alone. That's the level of respect I have for the craft. I don't feel anyone should throw their pennies in if they're not shiny.

Thats' the thing about arcane, he can sell a story.
Dont get me wrong, not the best lyrical guy in the GP, but both him and Dose are two people I'm sure saurus and mac are getting ready for, because if they sell what they do in a battle they could beat anyone(That said, if they can't sell their shit it won't work for them..Still a scary idea for most battlers)
Dirts' lyrically dope, Im just not fond of what he does, not that I dont think he can win battles.
