MCing/Rapping is a skill that's part of hip hop culture. It doesn't mean you'll make great hip hop music.

That's because most battle MCs are at their best when they have a person to deal with and they can write a creative three or so verses aimed at them. If they have to creatively come up with rhymes that don't involve battling, they often fall short.

I don't think Loe Pesci is top five either, to be honest.
