Its restricted but as f2p you get so much to do, you can level all skills except Slayer, Hunter, Contruction, Summoning, Agility, Fletching, Thieving, Farming and Herblore. That may sound like a lot but theres 25 skills in the game

    http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Members
^that explains what you get if your a member

    http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Free-to-play
^That explains the free side of the game

Seriously the game is well worth it although its pretty grindy and repetitive, the Pking well makes up for it. Membership is only 5 dollars as well which is a bargain for what you get.

I am sure a lot of you will disagree with me but you are likely the type of gamer who moves on to a new game every 5 minutes, so your opinion isn't worth jack. Runescape is easily one of the best games out there.

I played Star Wars Galaxies for 5 or 6 years. I played WoW (back before there was any expansions) for 2 or 3 months. I played Guild Wars (the first) for 3 months. I've played Wurm Online off and on in 2-3 month intervals since 2006. I played Planetside for 2 years. I played Kingdom Heroes twice now, both for about 2 months each time.

There's a lot of interesting games out there that can keep your interest for long periods of time.

and how many of them could you play for 6-7 years without getting bored? you can play runescape for that long and still not accomplish everything.

Well since you asked EvE Online is pretty much limitless. You can never "accomplish everything" in it :J

You could also say that WoW takes 10 years to complete every single achievement in the game.

However the real question is how many of these games provide meaningful content for years. MMORPG are endless, there's no "The End" in them.

    Just started Runescape,
    its pretty interesting !
Very nice quests, with cutscenes and stuff

I don't know why i love those "Low Graphic Games"
My PC could run every game out there on max

    It's definetaly worth a try !

but what im saying is in most mmorpgs at a certain point you've done everything there is to do, in Runescape this takes years to accomplish

As a non member, there isn't much to do except train your skills which isn't all that fun, there could be more, I'm not sure but they don't have enough quests. One area in a F2P game has more quests than Runescape does in total.
I'd have to say the reason I stick with it is because the feeling of progression is nice. I only bot though.

i don't think this person read any previous posts before posting his/her comment, then got embarrassed and try ed to support their point of view as if they were the only ones with it :I

But yeah, i used to play runescape back when the mobs were 2D and their weren't half as many of the new skills x3 now adays, its made some seriously huge leaps both graphically and game play wise. I'd absolutely suggest it, especially to anyone that hasn't played it yet.

Thats because the quests actually mean something, there usually part of a story ark and they contribute to the lore of the game. The quests in RS are probably the best out of any mmorpg, except maybe FF11.

Just stick to your kill x quests

What is up with people being so hateful towards other MMO's and claiming RS to be the best? Did someone insult or say something bad about RS and I've just completely missed it, or are they just hardcore RS fans, or what?
