Fix youtube link.
meh, so many much more important things they could do with there time for the game.
i also laugh every time notch says something is absolutely impossible to develop for minecraft and some one creates a mod doing the exact same thing the next day.
They are getting soooo lazy nowadays.
Small *** patches compared to when he worked on the game by himself.
When we bought the game in Alpha we had no idea what direction the game would take. I can't complain about the updates (or lack of them) as we weren't promise anything.
I do think however that Notch should stop being so full of himself and start taking amazing mods into consideration for the game.
Weather is nice too, I guess.. I was really hoping for some more practical updates, like new items and such or uses for slime ball?! I'd also imagine the rain would get super annoying after a while.
I'm hoping the frequency of the rain was just for preview purposes, or else yeah it will get annoying having a storm every 2 minutes.

Reputation: 366You bought an Alpha/Beta product and you honestly have no rights to complain or whatsoever. All you can do is help and improve the game.
Besides. Mojang and Notch for that matter is an indie developer. You can't honestly expect him to suddenly just shit patches out of his ***. Just because many people bought doesn't give him an obligation to start just spamming out updates. People bought it because it is good and because it is a one time fee not recurring.
I don't think shutting up and smiling at his every decision and letting the game stagnate without any protest is helping or improving on the game. Hell, griping is the ONLY way to help improve on the game short of modding and making texture packs. I'm not talking about blatant groundless hating, but genuine constructive criticism (which no matter what you do is going to sound negative since it's not praise) is a good thing.
Minecraft is an amazing game and Notch set a pace early on by himself with updates and he has visibly slowed down and unbelievably the updates have slowed more and more even though hes employed an office full of talented people. Just because we've gotten our moneys worth out of the game doesn't mean the games development should just screech to a halt.
We just want to see the game get better, just because it's incredibly popular now doesn't mean it always will be, the better the game keeps momentum the longer it will thrive, lending Notch the funds and prestige to expand and start more projects that will keep that momentum rolling.
This is just my 2 cents.

Reputation: 28Awards season just ended and Notch was jet setting to alot of places to accept/attend, and then he took a vacation.
His team isn't all working on Minecraft either, half are busy on Scrolls
i find it funny how people are saying stuff like "it was only a one time fee of 15$, its not like he never needs to update it again" when that isn't the point at all, it seems like people support him making a metric shit ton of money off the game then never touching it again.
anyways i support minecraft 100% love the idea behind ect, but i find it funny that single mod developers push out more content a week then he does in months. im also a supporter of modding communities i just don't feel like the game is old enough or to the point where the developer can just stop updating the game and expect the mod community to do all the work
