I'm sorry but i have to argue with you on this. If you want The Witcher Franchise to continue, the developers themselves have to make money. What's the easiest way to do that ? Consoles. I'm pretty impressed on how The Witcher 2 looks in console. For such an old hardware, it looks pretty damn good. As long as they don't do console first and port to PC bullshit, everything will be just fine.

I never said that I didn't want it on consoles.
In fact I want it consoles and wish the first was also released on consoles so other people could experience how good the series is.
But only having the second on consoles is kind of bad because the story picks up right after the end of the first and it assumes you played the first game so it doesn't fill you in much on characters and other stuff.

Also PC gaming revenue is sky rocketing.
It continually goes up every year while console revenue was declining and then went a bit up.
last year PC gaming revenue increased by 19% and it makes up just about the majority of gaming revenue as a whole.
Developing on consoles is a bigger risk because it costs more money to do so, there are very high royalty fees on consoles.


The only reason The Witcher 2 is going to be out on consoles is because it sold so well on PC that they have enough money to go ahead and port it over to consoles.
The Witcher 1 sold very well on PC and The Witcher 2 will sell even better.

Also I wouldn't say it looks good for just consoles but hardware in general since you could get it to look just as good running on similar hardware on the PC just with more RAM.

If you weren't posting it to bash consoles, they why post it at all?

Come on man, just be honest. You posted it to show consoles in a negative light.
Lets say those screenshots looked amazing, you would never post them.

Also, I don't often post in this thread. I mainly look at screenies to see if anything decent is out (while scrolling quickly through yours as it will be the exact same shot of graham just with a slightly different background).

The 360 version will certainly look worse but Irony went out of his way to make it look significantly worse. He took a high res PC screenshot then took a low res 360 screenshot and increased the resolution to match his high res screenshot. Do this with any game and you'll see a significant quality difference.
