Saw today that people can now download Ryzom at the Mac App store for free, and since i own both a mac and a windows computer i thought i'd see how it runs on my mac since i don't have any other mmorpg to play atm.
So how free is it actually?

Free up too level 125 in every skill, and that's a damn lot of skills.
Theres a few other things you can't do too, like own mektoubs (Storage Space that follows you)
Not sure about the other limits but its nothing significant.
You can also keep trying to level your skills after 125, you won't get the levels but your XP you get will stack, so f you sub you get it all at once.

Mystryx, you're wrong.
It doesn't stack, i know this because i played the other week and my guildmate was leveling his foraging. He got it to 126 without him realising he made it that high. Next day he wondered why nothing was working, and when i suggested he might have leveled above 126 i got the reply...
"Ohhhh shit. Yeah i went to 126 in forage"
He subbed a week later.

Nah, i only heard about that XP thing, but it will just stop your skill at 125, you can still play and do all your others to 125

ok good to hear, got a bit worried there ^_^;
just got it downloaded and installed, actually runs decently on my mac mini :o
guess ill play it a bit more tomorrow and play around some with the settings to see if i can optimize it a bit more :P
