    i wish slayers online was still open, i miss that game.

    Gunbound, Runescape and Conquer online are three of the oldest I've played. I recall MU online being popular at the time also.

    some games such as maple story and trickster are kind of old but still known fairly well. Some of the older, lesser mentioned games here I remember are

    monster and me
    conquer
    Tantra
    angels online
    Space Cowboy (although that changed to air rivals)
    ROSE online
    FlyFF
    Goonzu
    Fairyland
    SEAL
    Gate to Heavens
    Exteel

    Godsword never came out, hm.

    Surprisingly a lot of the really old mmorpg's still has a big loyal following, which also consist of gamers who get hit with a sudden surge of nostalgia.

    Conquer online <= Was good before the cash shop took overhand
    Runescape <= My first mmorpg 8 years ago
    FLYFF <= Had its moments
    Rose <= Also one of my first mmorpg's
    Maplestory <= You know about this one, you've played it, we all have
    silrkoad <= the first month after release was just awesome, the graphics was stunning, Multi class system, job system Thief/hunter/trader This game was truly revolutionary on the MMORPG scene. Now destroyed due to bots and high server latency + Joymax is a bad company

    Wow is trickster really considered old I remember when that game first came out a few years back, I think I pissed off a bunch of people over it on this forum xD.
