While the Wii has easily been the most successful of this generation of consoles, due in part to its family-friendly and more casual design than the hardcore Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 competitors, it's seen a slump in sales in recent years.
And Nintendo is not about to let their industry lead die out. The next generation offered by Nintendo will indeed be revealed at E3 in June, and it will also be playable. The company intends to share more details on the system at the expo as well, no doubt during their press conference before the show floor opens.
The new system has also been confirmed to have a release date during the 2012 year. Nintendo has not included its sales in the forecasts for the fiscal term ending March 2012, however, meaning we probably won't see the system until the holiday season next year.
