Default Which Game Takes the #1 (Quests)

Since people seemed to like some of my other threads from this angle, I got to wondering what else I could come up with (it's the week before finals, I just got finished studying, my brain is EVERYWHERE atm ).

So here are the specifics of this one. Which Free 2 Play MMO takes the top slot when it comes to Quests and why? Say somethin about the storyline, creativity, humor, etc.

Once again, just bored/curious what you guys will come up with. If this gets a lot of posts I might throw up a poll to finalize it

    I say mabinogi.
I haven't really played any mmos lately but I remember that its one of the few games that has more than just kill xx and grab xx quests.

RuneScape always had fun quests. There's a big variety between them ranging from puzzles to dragon slaying.

I enjoy EQ2's quests. Nothing says "Great quest" like breaking up a summoning ritual with rounhouse kicks. xD

Mabinogi's quests are highly diverse, ranging from crafting and gathering, expansive storylines with great cutscenes, exploration quests where you have to find things, sketching animals, dungeon quests, party quests, part-time job quests which have time limits, and many more. ^^ Have fun.

They are all very tedious as well....

For example, there's a quest to go to an another world during G1 that is only accessible like once a week.

    I'd go with MapleStory.
    Killing Teddy Bears? Epic.
Though eh it gets so annoying later on.

Second would have to be Perfect World, DOMO, LaTale, ugh and RuneScape.

    She knows how to party.

No, I definitely did G1-G9, and while they are amazing, they are extremely tedious. I don't regret doing them, but some of the quests bordered on ridiculous.

I also have Beast and Falcon forms on alts.

Runescape 2.0 before the update spam.

A lot of people (including myself) took the time to read the actual quests because they added to the roleplay feel of the game. Then even if they actually rewarded you with something interesting or not it was always fun to do them. Unless it was a pain in the *** quest, which back then there was only a handful.

([rant]If they just re-did the movement system and found a way to implement WASD movement and hotkey skills instead of clicking I'd play it forever.[/rant])

A couple of people are saying DDO but the quests in that game are only ever little more than, "Go into this dungeon and kill everything that moves and get item X". It's really well done compared to most f2p MMORPGs but still gets old.

    Runescape*

Also the game is ancient and has so much more to offer than even most modern mmos. It's also one of the greatest browser games ever created considering it was done before webGL and other things came into existence. Also spending every post fanboying one game and bashing another is a poor way to join a community.

Runescape was so good back then. I remember playing and actually enjoying an mmo 6-7 years ago. It was one of very few games I played that didn't bore me after two weeks. I wish more games would be inspired by Runescape's skill system. I love the skill system.

Mabinogi has a pretty good story. Probably one of few mmos that actually focuses on story.

    Runescape, not even close.

The only problem with runescape's quests were the skills needed to accept them, not the quests themselves.

    Ryzom and City of Heroes.

Considering you can make your own quests...

RuneScape had some BA quests. But, the F2P quests are kinda bad compared to the P2P quests, which absolutely roflpwn.

But, WoW Cata quests were amazing. I mean, Harrison Jones? Flying airplanes and gnomeballs of death?

You forgot playing Rambo if you roll a human and got through the quest line. xD

    Mabinogi.
Everything else, quests are the same bullshit over and over, not even worth reading the dialog. You just kill and collect what they say.
I know you can break down Mabi quests until it's just that as well,
But then there's tailoring quests, cooking quests, roleplay quests, and one of these days, blacksmith quests.
