Yes, that's what it would mean. Except for the fact that this company completely ripped off the original creators of DoTa and have used a total of ZERO originality to do it. I can not bring myself to play such a ripped off game.
LoL on the other hand is the same type of game play, but takes ownership of original character designs among other things.
It was also founded by the original creator of DoTa and the original creator of DoTa Allstars.

I was able to activate the old shop interface. Sorry that you suck at denying as it does take practice to be good at it. Of course the learning curve is ridiculous. This isn't LoL. It's the exact same thing as DotA, in terms of difficulty. DotA didn't have a tutorial to hold your hand and play.
HoN does but it's really shitty.
It's worth the money if you know how to play and you invest time into learning how to play the game.

For those interested in using the older shop, here's how to do it.
1)Open your console by pressing Ctrl + F8
2)Type in: cg_usenewshop2 false
Note: You'll need to do it everytime you launch HoN unless you add that command to your startup.cfg
With this being said, I'll avoid MM for the current week because getting new players in your team is atrocious and really, really not pleasant.

I've played HoN for a while, and I play other DotA inspired games such as LoL. The difference between me and most people that do this is simply the fact that I'm not trying to compare the two. They are both trying to do their own separate things, and both are making strides to have their own name's known in different ways. It's not a problem. It's a problem of your own not the games. You have all the possibility to leave the room and create your own pub game and check each player who joins and either kick him or keep him. Or simply jump from pub to pub till you see a balanced one.
