    Default Recommended Gaming Laptop?

Hey guys, I just found out that my work is sending me to another state for a couple months - I was originally thinking of bringing along my PC but it looks like I'll be staying in a hotel the whole time so I doubt that'll be possible.

I really wanna keep gaming those couple months (WoW raiding specifically) but I'm not too familiar with laptop specs or makers, can you guys recommend a good model? I'd prefer to keep the cost under $1000, while maintaining good graphics - is this possible for my price range? I'm not looking for anything crazy that can run FFXIV or Aion, but something that can run a game like WoW smoothly.

I was hoping that if I could find a model that's better than my current PC I'd just replace the latter with it and hook it up to my monitor instead. Mine's about 2 years old but here are it's specs:

    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz
    NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT
    4 GB RAM

Yeah, WoW's system requirements are low.

Problem with laptops is heating issues. They can oftentimes run games fine, but they overheat FAST.

Try to go for a laptop with a good fan/cooling system.

This is one of those higher end laptops that can probably run almost everything on pretty high graphics and has a long battery life.

    Pretty expensive though.

But really, if you're just looking for a laptop to play WoW on and don't really care about how it looks or having a LONG battery life then a cheap acer would do the trick, like this one.

Although this one is back logged

So if you need one quicker, there is this 1. It's essentially the same thing, but with a faster processor but as a dual core.

Give us some more information, like the size you prefer, battery life, etc.

    But really, where's snowbunzz

Right here, to correct your 2 last links.

I wouldn't get those, as the GPU is total rubbish. It'll run wow poorly on high settings and that's just considering the cities.
    Raids will be a nightmare.

The first link of yours will be your best bet as it has a good CPU and decent GPU.
I had found one with an i7 740QM and a gt550, but he'd probably benefit more from the CPU power than the GPU power.

I should update this but all my effort went into writing this lousy excuse.
