What has been happening in Aion?

The honest answer is no. This belongs in P2P section by the way. Aion is boring as all hell and the only truly interesting thing released in 2.5 is a graphics upgrade whcih isn't even that great anyway. Aion is a repetitive, generic MMO made by NCSoft which is very bad at creating unique concepts.. Just look at B&S. Absolutely horrible.

Don't pay attention to people who don't play or didn't play recently.
Let's put it this way i resubbed a week ago to see 2.5 and the recent changes and they drasticaly increased the exp you get from quests. in a week i got to lvl 41 so you can probably get to cap 55 in a month or so so that's not even close to grind. But the population drastically dropped from the start, even tho i never had any problem finding groups for FT.
Also the new solo instances are pretty sweet, money making is also a lot easier.
If you liked it in the first place,you could give it a try with a 15 days card like i did it's only like 5/6&, so it's not much.

I've been back for a couple weeks and have gotten 5 characters into their 20-30s just messing around with all the classes. The game is a lot better than it used to be. There's a 2x Xp and 2x drops rate event going right now as well, so now's a good time to return.

@2.5 skills video: I call hax. A Chanter using a bow? WTF!

Edit: I quit 3 months after launch and I'm enjoying my return, so take that as you please.

so basicly to sum it up, Templars/gladiators troll in PvP and all other classes suck now, PvP is shit and its to zergy.

I'm a veteran of the Aion game.. The fact that I haven't played recently doesn't matter.. The game is horrible. If the OP is looking for major changes then he will not be enjoying the game. They made small changes. That is all. The game is not worth paying for right now at least until 3.0..

You call some EXP increase and graphic update making it better? Pfft..

NCSoft has done a very poor job of developing its games. All of their updates have been disappointing. Nothing major is being changed, and the gameplay factor is the same as it has always been.

Take advantage of that, hit lvl 30 with all your characters and get the flash set+weapon, it'll do wonders for your characters. (I'm basically doing the same.)

Already have 3/5 of the set, plan on getting the last two in the next few days.

@OP: It's only $15 to see if you like it again, that's fairly cheap for at least a couple weeks of fun.
