Blackberry Confusion...
oook so a buddy of mine is going to give me his old blackberry flip 8220, which is 10 times better than my current phone, but im confused about one thing, ive heard that it has no 3g and uses wifi.... sooo hw do you use bbm?
Im in Canada and this phone originally was only carried in the states...

HMM if you dont have the Provider in your area the phone much useless. if you want to use you need find out how to switch the SIM card form other phone

Yea i got all that, the phones unlocked and everything, im just confused about the lack of 3g part, im not exactly sure what that means...

the internet on the blackberry only work on the wifi setting that what it mean. you cant use on 3g because it not program that way on the that blackberryOriginally Posted by xRaiin

There are packages given by your service provider.Some offer just BBM,some offer all Messenging services such as FB,MSN,BBM and Twitter and some offer Internet services.
I go for the cheapest,just BBM.

You buy a Sim card where you pay each month for so called BB internet, it gives you access to everything, BBM windows live, twitter, internet browsing, unlimited usage, here in europe it costs like 10 euro/month, depending on where you live, but you can basically get it in any country.
