I tried Prius and really didn't care for it. Eden all the way~!
Reputation: 12I'll play Prius first and see if it sticks, if so I may not even bother with EE CBT. But when OBT comes out I will try EE.
Reputation: 15Well I'm going to try Prius as its OB, so it should be more polished. Also I'm not sure if I'm keen on the anime graphic style of EE. Seems similar to ROSE Online to me.
I'm not that bothered about PvP as I dont usually last long enough in a game to be competitive, also as its Gpotato, to be competitive your going to have to fork out loads of cash. Even still its always a plus.
From the Pruis screenies (on official site) the mobs look epic. Think I'll try EE when it becomes OB.
Just wondering does EE allow movement with combat like Prius does? Cant tell from the videos I've seen.
Reputation: 10As I have played both...
Graphics: Prius wins by far.
Class system: Eden wins with the multi-class system. However, if you like a more definite class type of game, prius wins.
Skill system: Prius wins. In prius, certain skills trigger other skills to become instant cast. Both games have a skill tree, but prius' is more complex.
PvP: Prius wins (I have played eden eternal PvP at level 45 in the TW version, it was
meh) Prius has open PK, eden does not. Prius has a Bounty system as well. Not to mention guild wars (but eden has that) Siege wars, and other stuff.
PvE: Didn't really PvE much in FN err eden, but Prius has dungeons + "survivable dungeons", I'd say both games have equal amount of PvE.
Character Custominzation: Both games don't have that good of customization, but prius is a little bit better. More options overall, and you can change your hairstyle in-game.
Housing/Town: In Prius, you can have your own atrium. It's basically like a house, but it's more for your anima (not going to explain how that works). In eden, you have towns that you upgrade with your guild. This town system is very complex, and I think it's a very good idea. Eden wins.
Pet system: Eden doesn't have pets.. except for hunters. In prius, you get anima and a gigas. Basically the anima is your "companion" and your gigas is a "upgrade" that you can use once and a while in combat. Prius wins.
Sound: Prius has voiceovers. However, they're pretty fail. I didn't notice anything special about eden sounds. I would have to say that Prius wins it.
Closed Beta vs. Open Beta: If you don't want your character to be wiped, play prius ;o
Gameplay (stuff to do, etc.): Prius.
Crafting: I didn't craft in eden unfortunately. It looked pretty good though. In prius, you can cook, mine, and other stuff, but there are no "professions" You can enchant, craft with materials and all that good stuff. I wouldn't know which is better.
My opinion: Prius > Eden Eternal.
I don't think there are any categories I left out.. who knows.
Reputation: 17Open PvP sounds boring. If I am guessing right, the person who has highest enchanted gear will always win, or atleast thats how it is in most of the games. Imo its not fun pvp, unless both have 50/50 chance to win.
After searching some info about Prius, maybe I will give it a shot.
I really hope GPotato will not ruin this game with ridiculously high price and way too overpowered items in their cash shop, altho I have really bad feeling, that is exactly what is going to happen. Just thinking back of Aika and Iris online, which I both played for bit longer than normal. I actually liked the Iris Onlines PvP flag-map, but after cash shop came, I uninstalled because it was pay to win after it.
Reputation: 10woldn't pick either of them must agree anima and multi class prety nice concept but the rest are way to generic its just same book just with few words writen differently
But you can dye your clothes and change the base color/design(which are unlocked by levels) in FNO/EE. Hairstyle is awfully bland in Prius tbh.Character Custominzation: Both games don't have that good of customization, but prius is a little bit better. More options overall, and you can change your hairstyle in-game.
Reputation: 10I'm gonna try Prius. From the vids I've seen, the animation and character movement is very smooth.
Gender locked classes are fail tho. But I can look past that if the game is fun.
Reputation: 10Prius is just Aika 2.0 and Aika was incredibly boring. I'll be playing Eden Eternal.
Reputation: 19Lol, and yet those cash kids will own you all? then u start complainingsuch is life of Onrpg.
Reputation: 41prius is rlly like aika 2.0 ^^
no one will play this game longer then a month.. trust me.

about arguing about swimming."
Reputation: 19Will there be a wipe in EE CB?
Reputation: 12Yes, so I suggest you wait for OB if you don't want to lose your characters.
Reputation: 10There are permanent prizes to get that transfer to OB though. http://edeneternal.aeriagames.com/community/CBrewards And considering you can get to lv 30+ in ~20 hours of playing they seem reasonable. Plus I've heard there're gonna be some EXP boosts in CB. Also a buttload of GM run events and free cash items for testing purposes, yay.
Reputation: 32I too am thinking to go back to mmorpg after 1.5 years break now (been playing LoL and HoN). Both seems interesting, at first I decided on Prius because of better graphics and Eden Eternal's graphic seems like Seal Online's graphics which I didn't like that much. I am not against Anime-graphics though, I did enjoy Seal Online's gameplay and also enjoyed ROSE online, Flyff and Grand Fantasia.
From what I see both have Arena PVP/Colosseum PVP where you can queue up and get into 10v10 or 5v5 (or XvX) people PVP which I really like, something I enjoyed from Grand Fantasia especially (Same with 12sky1 or Iris online and Latale for example). From what I see also, Prius' monsters' hp tend to be really high and takes long time to kill. Both games have interesting classes though.
Another point to consider is which company they are from. I still hold a grudge at Gpotato for ruining Flyff and Iris Online for me but that being said Aeria isn't any better to be honest. Take for example Aeria had a raffle where a random winner could win a max lvl character with any name and a best elite weapon in game in 12sky2. Aeria also tend to have so many raffle and tiered spender events while Gpot have more exp and drop events. Aeria usually have a weekly exp and drop events though (like double exp at certain times at saturday and double drop at certain time at sunday).
Don't get mad at me though, I feel like Gpot games tend to have more players usually, but Aeria sure doesn't lose that much. Gpot also tend to have better game management and GM's showing up more than Aeria, thus Cash Shop for Gpot is alot more expensive than Aeria's.
I'm curious to know whether any of the game have castle sieges or auction house (would like to know from players who played either of the games in other versions).
Reputation: 15The game Allows you to control more than just a single player.
The game has an actual attempt of a story (lots of cutscenes and developing storyline).
Movement based combat.
Various dungeons and raids.
Tbh all games are very similar, I could bash EE and say its nothing other than an DOMO copy (but I dont actually believe that).
But still, that duel class system is nothing new.. Think GW, RoM, DOMO, Mabinogi.. Even runescape..
This thread is being taken the wrong way, he was asking which game people are going to play first, not what is the better game.
Thats nothing other than personal preferance/opinion.
I will certainally be playing both games when they are OB.
Not sure if this was for me, but I am sorry if I said somewhere that Gpotato is making the games. Even though they are run by different people as you say, they still have the same things as expensive (or over-expensive by some people) cash shop (compare to Aeria or PWE or any other companies for example), usually exp events (2x, 3x), alot and alot of costumes and mounts in cash shop.
