Roger Ebert summed it up really well:
I saw it in my grandma's house. She had cable, and visiting her was the only time we as kids got to watch cable. This movie just stuck out for how much it affected me and how I looked at the world. I think it prematurely developed one of my strongest personality traits: I am endlessly examining and analyzing my life and the things I see and I think about. I don't necessarily think well, or think clearly, but I think a lot.
I also remembered how the first bands I got into were The Offspring and Fivestar. At the risk of sounding like a hipster, I bet almost none of you have heard of Fivestar.
