I need a new monitor, but I seriously don't know what to look at. My price range is about €100 - €200 right now.

Reputation: 733The only thing you need to look at, although it's pointless as f*ck, is reaction speed.
The rest is unstandardized.
Thus, the best option is to simply go to your local store and buy your screen there as you can actually see the screen colours and stuff yourself.

I should update this but all my effort went into writing this lousy excuse.
Reputation: 733True, but they are for the most part not standardized. Most if not all people wouldn't be able to tell that screen Y has a better contrast ratio than screen X by just looking at the specs and knowing it's not standardized.
Thus, going to the store to finally determine the screen to get is the best thing you can do.
