I should update this but all my effort went into writing this lousy excuse.
I don't really care but I thought I'd post either way.
These things happen almost every time, now bring me something that I do not know.

Reputation: 49guys, did you hear that "whooooosh"? it was the point, going over your heads
a record 14 years to give it birth, and their business is already ruined before starting. wonder if they think it was worth the effort now...

Reputation: 366Leaking the game earlier will do nothing.
Now if we lived in a world where piracy wouldn't exist and it would not be possible but somehow it got done in this certain situation then "YES OMG THEY ARE SO OUT OF BUSINESS!"
But in this case. No. Just no. This won't affect their sales at all.
Reputation: 366What kind of ridiculous statement is that. Yeah they won't be buying it because they have never bought a single game in their life and never will. How is this making a difference in this case? No matter what happens nothing will change this.
The people that are already playing it have already bought it/pirated it.
If they bought it then I just fail to see how this leak will affect their income? I will buy CoD Black Ops and say that it sucks and tell my friends to not buy it. This is happening to any game in any circumstances.
If they pirated then their friends are most likely pirates too. And what stops anybody at any time to pirate this or any other game to test the waters if it is worth the money? I mean, how can a few days before the release affect anything at all if you will have an infinite time in the future to pirates this game at any moment? What will change if a person A will pirated the game now or 2 weeks later? Tell me.
Yes it won't be that it won't affect the sales at all. But the effect will be so minimal you won't even notice it.
Please use your brain which Mother nature gave to you before you even attempt posting.

Reputation: 49marcipaans, do you think the last BF will sell as many units the first week it releases as 5 months later?
the timing matters. specially in a single player game, the first days are pretty important, thats when the companies invest the most in advertising campaigns and expect to get tons of impulse buyers.
