    Default Ever quest 2 extended.

So I never gave this game a go due to the p2p turning me away. Now that its f2p with very minimal retrictions I gave it a go, and its pretty fun. The only downside I have encountered so far is everyone gets the same armor look at different level intervals, so I look like any other hunter at lv 5, 10, 15 and so on, unless I find cosmetics to change my apearance, hence cash shop items. =P

But the quests and PVE are really fun, I have 3 toons, a hunter, paladin and a berserker. I like the hunter the best but they are all fun classes. Anyways, I wanted to bring this game back to light as I have not heard it mentioned here in awhile. So if you wanna start, I want to eventually get a clan going with close friends. I've been with onrpg, way before we even transfered to this new forum set up, and am hoping to find a couple hard core gamers here, who like to quest/group partys and create a stong guild in the game. Anyone willing to try out this game and interested in making new friends, add kyrow, and I started at the city that starts with the letter "g" its Goryen or something to that nature.

Again my IGN is kyrow for my hunter (most used toon) add me! =)

You are missing class restrictions, race restrictions, armor restrictions, skill restrictions, etc.

Class restrictions were lifted only for a month, it expires on the 17th of this month. After that you need to unlock any of the "premium" classes if you want to continue the character unless you have a gold/platinum membership.

Back when there was free SC I got silver membership(Plenty of bag space, 1 skill/spell tier under max, money cap is easy to avoid, all chat channels) and the class I wanted for my main and an alt without spending a cent. You can join a guild in game(Plenty of bronze/silver able guilds) to get a large chat channel with a lot of people and trade.

Limits? You can level to max level(90) as F2P. Use 1-2 tiers under max for skills(Unless it's one of the higher damage skills, things like the lower cooldown spells have damage go up like... 239-270 to 248-279 or something, it's not always a massive jump, only on things like Assassinate for Assassins and the equivalent Wizard spell(Both of which have something like a 15 minute cooldown anyways). The best equipment is usually allowed for free to play in the form of the mastercrafted equips(While leveling, crafted armor is the strongest armor in the game) and that people can still use raid gear at endgame except from the newest expansion(Have to buy if F2P, the equips, though they may change some of it to be allowable due to lots of complaints). Races are almost completely cosmetic or have only slight affects, only real thing is Tracking which is provided by Half Elf which is free. Most class balances are included, you don't NEED the others, if they didn't exist you wouldn't even notice the lack of them, they're more there for flavor instead of requirement(You have the tanks, DPS and healing, all archetypes).

There's a lot more F2P or P2P more limited than EQ2x without any money spent, I can point out almost every hyped up game people post on here with their total of 4 classes and gender locking/character specific classes.

    It's "Free to play".
Basically the game is worse than before, because the standard $15 a month pricing is WAY more restricted then before, and the free accounts are basically glorified trial accounts.

What do you expect from such an old game? This thing came out in late 04 early 05. It's been 6-7 years. Games can't last forever, especially not with everything being churned out these days. It lasted longer than most games and we have to give it that, but I suppose this is the end of an era. At least until EQ3

LotRO/DDO F2P let you play to earn, but you're also locked out of so much without dedicating the time into it. I was able to do so much on EQ2x for free, I can also experience endgame content for free.
