I got an email too, but I don't remember ever signing up for anything from them. It doesn't look like they do much mmos. Are they tied to another company or some game?

It's probably a new fad. Up until now nobody took seriously DDoS attacks and they weren't treated as they should've been treated in the first place.

That's why these groups thought that it would be fun to hack random companies. I hope now the law enforcement will take every attack seriously and arrest anybody who attempts this kind of act.

It was already confirmed that it's not true. Just some ******ed rumor. But if anyone actually would do that because of flags then I have no words to say.

The stupidity is at it's peak.

Yeah, I received that e-mail too. I don't think they caused much of a damage, not at least like Sony's damage.

Yeah the guys who made that video came out and said it was a joke. The hackers who attacked HoN were 3 players who were DoSing single servers to prevent their stats from being recorded when they were losing games. They got caught and got banned, at which point they decided to DDoS the entire system out of spite.

Any issues after that were related to them adding a new network security layer to their TCP/IP stack to prevent future attacks.

It really does seem like everyone is getting hacked lately. Hacking can snowball though. If you get a list of accounts/passwords from one major location it is very possible that something on that list will gain you access to another location because people like repeating account names and passwords.
