Default has Aion gotten better ?

Okay i always had my eye on Aion but never had the chance to play it cause i didn't have much money , turns out i spent more on Free to play games >.
but i heard alot of negative reviews about it since launch and was wondering has it improved ?
here are the requirements i like
    - Healthy Population
    - Open World PvP ( Kill anyone anywhere or similar system )
    - Decent Graphics
    - Decent Amount of classes
    - and some PvE
Can someone tell me all the PvP Features Aion has cause i'd like to know before i decide to purchase the game or not
i also heard they killed rifting by adding a 80% defence buff , is this true ?

and can you guys tell me whats a good class for pvp ? i prefer melee, but casters can do too.

and if Aion is still really bad like some people say can you recommend another non Pay2Win MMORPG for me to check it out.

    Thank you guys

When do you ever run out of quest I've always had so many quests to do that I out level them and leave an area with like 10 to 20 quest I felt like skipping. I have not once been so low on quests that I was forced to do the group ones... I think your doing it wrong sir...

I have a love-hate relationship with Aion. There's a lot of better games out there with more "features" and what not but I keep on coming back for the following two reasons:

    1) Graphics/art: the game is just really pretty and aesthetically pleasing. They did a great job designing the world and the character models look great. They also updated the graphics engine in the recent patch and it looks wonderful. Say what you want about Asian grinders, but the Koreans know how to make a pretty game.

    2) Simplicity: you may like it or hate it, but there's no skills or stats to distribute and limited choices to make, meaning that the game is heavily gear dependent. Most people think of that as a liability, but I enjoy the simplicity of Aion. It all centers around.

The game also gets better with every update - when the game was released it was a crushing grind with shitty drops and they have improved upon that a lot. It's still not a walk in the park like WoW, and it requires dedication, but if you don't mind grinding it out once in a while for items and rewards, it's worth it.

Don't resub. It's shit and you'll regret it.
did you even look for them? i literal just rerolled a character took him 1-40 without going near running out of quest, and with the mentor system its pretty easy to find people to do the group quests with. as for population its a server to server thing and they are doing more server merges within the next couple of months

the rifting buff was removed mostly and if you want a pvp class sorc or sm can run the game, sm earlier on but sorcs can one shot eventually just about anyone
and temp is better than glad in pvp it takes ALOT of gear for glads to be good in pvp and itll be easier to find groups as a temp than a glad

its worth the free trail im not sure how long it is but you can get the game fairly cheap it you go into stores

rifting in areas 20+ you can go to opposite faction area and open pvp 25+ abyss pvp open world with flight pvp (but its not very crowded and pvp is alittle thin there)

Fort sieges which take place in the abyss (its more of a lagfest unless you have a good comp in which elyos zerg the fort, but from time to time asmoes do own one and theres your pvp)

theres an area in each home town where you just fight people, though i dont see many in it

then theres the dregdion a 46+ pvpve instance where 2 teams on opposite factions race to kill pve captians for points and you can also kill the other team to get points (though lately its been hard to que up for it but might change with server merges)

lol that is another reason i am not the biggest aion fan. I do not like the fact that there is no skill customization. I like it when games let you build your spells/attacks and strengths with skill trees. It gives the opportunity to make one priest different from the other. In Aion however, one chanter will be exactly like the chanter next to him at the same level

Also, personally, I feel like their needs to be more areas to explore and i really wish they did not make so much of their maps unreachable. What I love in mmos is wasting time exploring random parts of the map :P. And there are like3 or 4 areas for asmos and elyos, but now they have more with the xpac and i dont know how big those areas are.

pretty much this. Aion is one of 2 games that I go back to time and time again even if I quit due to boredom or trying out different games. (Other game being Vindictus)

Aion's graphics is what keeps me playing~ not to mention its easier to level now (but with asmos ganking people left and right in Heiron...it gets on your nerves ) and the simplicity of everything. Its about as user-friendly as WoW, maybe a little less since it doesn't s****-feed you everything.

regardless, don't listen to opinions of others~ best try it first hand to make your own decisions.

and I sure hope they merge the Eastern servers for NA....Israphel is nice and all, but it could use more people.
