    Default Rift & Endgame ?

So as it is am considdering buying & paying for RIFT

Checked out some Screenshots in the section and it looked pretty nice

Now I wanted to know, is there much endgame? atleast enough to keep you raiding for some months and not get bored with thesame dungeons?
Also how is the community? Does it have much paying subscribers or is it hard to find groups/people to play with?

Also once I hit level 50 does the game start or is it almost over then?

The game's fun, once you hit cap you just do harder versions of the same dungeons...a lot of people tire of it pretty quickly. They have some raid content too and they are adding new content at a pretty good pace though. I think it's worth the price, especially if you can find a deal on it (bought my copy for $30).

I guess you could say at 50 the game starts because you start doing harder dungeons for better gear and PvPing for PvP gear but most people don't find it as fun as 1-50.

finally hit 50, lvl 1-50 is fun in its own way, while at 50 doing other stuff has its own fun also, but the time consuming of LFG is a pain. thats all and the rest is fun, bored of dungeon/raiding for gears, go battleground theres another set of gears kind of thing
new major update is coming on june 22nd

rift's endgame is all about dungeon farming plaque to buy new gear to then again do new tiers of dungeon to then again get enuff plaque to buy raid rift gear to then again get enuff to buy actual raid gear.

I loved the game until i hit 50 and all there was to do was farming same dungeons over and over again for plaque to buy new gear , so i could farm in new dungeons.

I dident mind the dungeon farming so much until they nerfed the amount of plaque you get.

That is my 50 cent of why i left Rift.

The game needs some extra endgame stuff that is not related to dungeon farming.

The new slivers they added requires to much grinding before you can even enter them.

Trion messed up the endgame in patch 1.2
They made all the instances a lot easier and radically reduced drop rate of items and plaques.

So instead of doing challenging dungeons with high reward, you'll spend most of your time doing low risk dungeons with lousy rewards = grinding.

The raids however are fun and if you enjoy the PvP then there's plenty to do. However to get geared for raids it requires weeks/months of grinding to get the best pre-raid gear.

I would probably start grinding now since they are changing stuff again in 1.3 and presumably making the grind slightly easier or you could wait for 1.3 patch notes and decide then :J

1.2 is awful for new players, but a joy for veterans.

Ignore him, he hasn't played since 1.0
Although the difficulty of 5-mans is rather low.
Raids on the other hand are fun and challenging, especially 10-mans.

Any mmorpg that supports raids on each content patch and not adding actual content in the world is stupid.
Look at the forums everyone wants world content and not some generic *** raids for elitist jerks.

For 5-man instances you should be fine with the LFD -system's requirements.
For raids you certainly need a fine set of gear from T2's. The raids, especially 10-mans are extremely difficult if you are undergeared :J
