It was a weak case to begin with that was blown out of proportion by the media. There was no motivation before the murder shown, and no direct DNA or physical link between the mother and child in the case of the murder.

TL;DR - it is just like the OJ Simpson case where all the compelling evidences seem to lead to Casey Anthony, but since the court does not have any SOLID evidence confirming her to be the murderer, they declared her not guilty.

Frankly she did it >.> if you read over all the evidence it was completely obvious she did it.
But now she gets to live with a shattered social life ^.^ and hopefully some vigilante shoots her during her "yay I lied and got away with murder" party.

It really sucks when one falls through the cracks like that. But i feel that if our system wasn't the way it is, innocent people would be thrown in prison. (More than already do, cause it does happen.)
I don't know much about the case, i saw it on TV quite a bit but never watched it. I heard from my mom that it was fairly obvious she was guilty, but the only evidence they had was circumstantial.

Sorry, did not read most of the posts, but why this case was "so" important that even the media talked about? o0
If I got it right from TV, she "killed" her own child or something and because of that the media had to make some dramatic stories(as usual) to gain some more money... This kind of things happen all the time, babies get dumped, babies get sold, childrens get killed by their own parrents, so why this was such a big deal to be even on the TV's?
I seriously don't get all this....

I just wanted to know the verdict IMO this was covered waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much. For a lot of people they pose the question what if this were my relative. This became big because Casey was going out and partying while Caylee was missing and then after 30 days reported it. Where I live there was similar case but the parents never reported the child missing ( look up Baby Grace Case). The fact that Case reported Caylee missing is what seems to have made this case stand out.
