What is this I don't even...

You don't even need to do anything during battles? All you do is fix your deck and then watch the show? :s Think I'll just stick to Shadow Era.

    I agree 100%.

I have been playing TCGs since 1993 with the Alpha version of Magic and have a collection of 25 different cards games. This is no TCG. Sure they look like cards, but that doesnt make it a TCG.

Where are the player controlled game mechanics. 2 things you control do not make it a TCG.

    FAIL

This is what is known as a "Deck Building Game". Should be stated as such.

Whatever. I prefer building decks to playing. And I quit Lands of Hope when the replaced the automated combat system.

Well if you played it you would have answered your own question in the first battle... since you look quite dumb for screaming "OMG ITS A COPYKAT" and "WHAT IS DIFFERENT". In Warstorm your deck plays out until 1 side loses and not limited to just 4 cards.

In Battleforge your deck consists of 8 monster cards and 8 item/enchancement cards. Before battle starts, you get access to all 8 enchancements and attach only 1 of each to 1 monster. You also get to see the 4 monsters your deck will be battling, so you can sometimes counter enemy decks if you have the right enchancements. For example i run a nature deck where its mostly "archer" type cards so i can snipe across the battlefield. But if i was to be put up against a deck that has dodge or evasion, i would not land about 90% of my hits. To counter a dodge deck i use "Elven Bow" attachement on my archers and nullify evasion. My archers turn those dodgers into swiss cheese. Same can be said if you find yourself against a large amount of magic users, you can throw on reflect card. Or throw your enemy off who assumes your deck can't dodge, then attach evasion cards and completly change the focus of your deck and screw up the other side.

Battle only takes place with 4 randomly picked cards from 8. Once all 4 cards are dead the battle ends, or if player's morale runs out first. ALSO dead cards don't dissapear and "move" up to fight the next monster. No, dead monsters stay there, so if a ranged unit killed the Closed combat unit infront of it, then it can snipe the 3 other close combat enemy units to death without taking any damage (unless your HP drains away faster than it is able to deal damage.)

Game is very different, the only thing that is similar is lay out of battlefield, then again you would have to say warstorm copied all these other games before it...

Those who want a game where you don't leave it to "chance," then go play Alteil where you need to actually play the match instead of build & forget.
