    Default Tats

I got about 3,000 in back pay coming. And im going to blow it on tats since i have nothing else to really buy right now.
If anyone here has tats, whats the cost often like? How far can i get with 3 grand?
Im trying to get my upper chest done, and maybe a sleeve.

Pain isnt a problem, I don't mind sitting through a few days of pain the end product makes it all worth while.

Keep it. Just taking a tat, cause you don't have anything to buy or anything, is just jumping on some hype wagon. If you got no real reason to get some ink, you shouldn't.

Now I'll give you a real answer. Here it's about 80-100euro just to get tattoo'd, but that's without the size counted. So it could go up to around the 500-600 dollars.

I've always been a fan of getting ink for a reason, not just doing it for doing it. I feel like an hypocrite though, I always wanted to get an orange tribal on my shoulders/back for no real reason. Blame Fable

My best friend's gf has a bunch of tats but I don't think they've been more expensive than 100-200.

I'd say save part of it in an account that gets compounding interest, keep adding like 10% of earnings to it for 10 years, after the last 10years dont touch that shit. Then when you're 65 and want to retire, there's your money and you're rich as ****.

depends on the artist and what you get. it could cost 50 dollars to 3000 dollars for one.

"Because I want one." is the best reason to get a tattoo.

Best thing to do is visit shops and talk to the artists themselves. I don't see 3k not being enough for anything you might want. Unless you go crazy.

you say that until it starts. Ive been punted in the nuts with a soccer ball from 10 or less feet away from someone drilling it as hard as they could, and getting a tattoo almost made me blackout. It isnt ungodly painful, but for 30-45 minutes or more it gets to you. Youll make it, but it wont "hurt so good".

After the needle part is done it doesnt hurt.

once again pain isnt a problem, pain tolerance is different for everyone. cant base your emphasis on the pain you felt because its completely different for me. during my wanna be bmx days ive broke just about every bone in my body excluding my spine and neck. I have no reason to be afraid of it anyways, i could spend 3 days worrying about the pain when i could've had the tattoo already done in that time frame. No point in trying to delay something that is inevitably unavoidable.

Ima start getting some quotes when i get back to MN though. 3k should get me something decent

i didnt say worry about it for days. Im just telling you dont go into it thinking itll be a cake walk with jollyranchers "cause im a man with incredible pain tolerance". Your tolerance doesnt make the actual pain any lower. you can just tolerate it. I could tolerate it, but it still hurt like a *****. Youll find out...I know youll make it through the tattoo, but youll understand what i mean. Just warning you so maybe you overhype the pain(but dont worry about it for days) instead of underhyping it like me and getting a pleasant little surprise.

tl;dr - The pain wasnt an issue for me either( I manned up and did it) but regardless it hurt like a mother****in *****.

Im going back to get more eventually when i get the money.

nothing sucks more than people being fake and trying to be a "man" and say it felt like a 2 year old baby punching you in the arm when in actuality it hurts but you are still able to sit through it.

also i refuse to accept that it can feel 'tingly' to anyone unless my guy just ****ed up. and was driving the needle half way through my arm.

I'll join your club. I could also use those $3000 to pay for one of my semesters...Or save it to buy books for the next two. Or get a crappy car.

I dont see how you think im implying that you need to think it through because of the pain. ill break it down

    1) it doesnt hurt enough to not get them
    2) with that said, it still hurts like a ***** regardless of pain tolerance
    3) have fun.

In the end, its pain, not permanent pain, just a few hours worth. eh.

It depends on where the tattoo parlor is, from personal experience its cheaper in a rural area or any non-major city. It also depends on color, the cheapest would be black.
