I'm 20 and play video games. Tingting is 27 and plays video games. Your behavior isn't even close to that of a 18 year old. At that age you don't even have to ask if your allowed to buy a xbox, you just do it. It's something else if you want money from your savings. In that case, she was right. I am glad that my mom doesn't say stupid shit like that to me. She knows that video games are a hobby, and should be treated as such. My dad is in his 50s and still plays games. He just recently lent me his RIFT account that has like 4 months game time on it. (He got tired of it, and since it had time left, gave it to me and my brother to split.)

My friend is extremely talented, like seriously talented. She has an AMAZING voice, like those soulful beautiful voices that makes your chin drop. She's got connections on the music business, she does live gigs and sells out shows over the country and i'm not talking county fair shows, she and her band sold out one of the country's main concert halls last month I went to see her.
However she's aware it's a doggy dog world the music business especially for jazz, soul and blues artists, instead she like myself wants to pursue a career in Law.

You can't do music as a side thing for earning money. You lose more then you earn in the beginning. Some make it, and they earn everything back and even more, but the other 90% that doesn't make it lose a lot of money, and get little in return.
