Reputation: 151Still ripping videos and advertising them as your own I see.
Reputation: 25I don't think I have ever seen a game with such boring combat before.
Looks like a copy of the redmoon online setting.
Also a terrible video, video is for actual video content and not to be padded with developer interviews oozing with marketing speeches.

I have a certain level of expectation for this game. Simply because it seems they brought back a skill system that resembles Anarchy Online's setup. The free reign of setups as far as skills and weapons regardless of class.
Tryin to not hype myself up but damn I hope this turns out good. And they really need to start focusing on endgame NOW they have probably a year before release, if they release a game with hardly any endgame or cliche tank and spank. But that boss fight had quite a few mechanics for a starting dungeon, if they can keep increasing that level of of complexity throughout the game I will have no troubles
Yea right, this game will most likely be the Duke Nukem of MMORPGS, they keep saying it's coming but it's never going to be released.
And even if it did, Guild Wars 2 will be released wayyyy before this. So, TSW you're going to fail even before you got started.
Edit:
It's going to be 5 years soon from the announcement of this game. The Secret World (formerly known under the working titles Cabal and The World Online)[6] is an upcoming MMORPG from developer Funcom (makers of Anarchy Online and Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures), the development of which has been officially confirmed on March 6, 2007.[1] The final title of the project was confirmed on May 11, 2007.[7] Ragnar Tørnquist is the creative director of the game.[3]

Reputation: 482I'm not gonna lie, I thought the game was going to be way cooler than that.
Reputation: 10While it seems neat, it also sounds like it would get old fast with constantly having to find some vague clue in game, go onto yahoo or google or whatever, type in (insert vague clue here), spend what could be minutes to hours searching, and then finally finding what they're looking for to continue on.
Just using the gameplay video as an example..."Hurray, you beat the boss. Now go search online for some vague shipping manifest of some vague ship from some vague timeline in order to get a password to get your lewt!" Doesn't sound very exciting or rewarding to me.
Of course, we'll see how it works out. It would only really matter if the people running said dungeons never ran it before, anyway. Otherwise someone whose done it a million times can just tell everyone the code or hint or whatever.
I dont think this game will stand up to the onslaught of Action-MMOs now comming onto the market. Cause the gameplay just seems like generic MMO gameplay which tbh is becoming slow and boring now.
