there is nothing good in D3, its just an uptodate graphical reskin of D2, other than that, the same old boring generic and shallow game that was released 11 years ago.
its pathetic how few they have improve on their own formula, looks like the only innovation D3 will bring is the pay to win auction house LOL

Seriously.. what kind of company actually takes out ffa/last man standing pvp or whatever because they consider it too competitive lmfao........... Blizzard is too into pleasing casual players since they know no matter what they do the fans will still buy it so why care about them.
Path of Exile may end up having a lot of things that diablo 3 beats it at.. but there is one thing that it will never lose at.. competitiveness. Which for carebears that wont mean something.. but for people who like competing in anything then Path of Exile easily wins. I cant wait to play the league system.. hardcore cuthroat.. pking people and getting their full loot and when they die they are moved out of the league since its hardcore lol. Then they will have leagues often to see who can level the fastest and reward the top levelers, and they will have servers where its pretty much open pvp without the hardcore / cut throat etc lol... People will also be able to make their own leagues with rules they choose.

Does being a pseudo-MMO or an mmo'ish game an advantage? cause for me it's the opposite when devs are calling every possible online gaming option an MMO. It's just a pathetic attempt to get more customers because it's a MMO, and for us it's misleading.
Thank God GGG (developers of Path of Exile) never called PoE a MMO and they don't like when someone calls it MMO for an obvious reason - it's not a massively multiplayer online game
And how do you know it's more mmo'ish than d3? So far as my test went I've seen 3 people in camp (i guess its limited to XX people), and chat.

With Diablo 3's ******ed money auction house and no skill points, also the removal of crosses and pentagrams. Path of exile is everything a sequel to diablo 2 should be.

The "******ed auction house" is the real charm of D3. Actually to put up your epic discoveries on sale and getting 10-15$/item/month is a nice addition to playing a game.
In so many online RPGs it's possible to buy/sell characters/items/anything but with D3 they "legalize" trading and make it actually part of the game. Which in my point of view, gives an equal standing to those not willing to spend a lot of real money to stay competitive.
The problem with OnRPG is that everything with a Price Tag is evil.
Two great games are coming out soon D3/GW2 and if you are too cheap to pay for them _once_ you'll miss out a lot.
PoE is nice for an "indie" game, but you'll notice once it goes OB :J
TBH, the D2/D2:LoD crowd ain't looking for a new game, we are looking for a remake of D2 with a huge player base. ;J

after playing a bit lv 30 now, I feel like the game is highly repetitive, I only spam 2-3 skills and thats it.
