Alright so I just "aquired" ff4 for psp and played through it abit.

Just as I remembered, the game offers little to no guide through out the game.. and the characters seem so bland. There dialouge seems to make no sense.

Although I like that the dialouge is meant to get to the point most of the time.. but I don't really like it.

I think I'm getting to old for J-rpgs and FF games

Because it's the first FF with the emo personality which all those Square-enix people love. Seriously, FF6 is by far better, and even has a better story then most games coming out these days. FF4 hasn't even given the complete background story of each character, while FF6 does all of it.

Also, the entire premise of FFX is to kill God, and once you've killed God you play dress-up and listen to silly music (though I highly prefer x-2 to x..)

Reason I didn't like FF4 is what Darksin replied, it's just.. blech.
Hell, Golbez is not even an awesome villain. Compare him to Kefka, a truly crazy villain à la Joker who not only destroyed the world, but also took it over,
or some lame manipulator who was being controlled by a man in the moon?
Let's not forget that Cecil is a pansy.

So I guess the whole beginning fab about Cecil questioning why he murdered people in Mysidia for the King's ambition totally flew off your head.

Do you even know that the person who ordered him to do it, wasn't even the king. He died long before that all happened. Cognazzo was the one who was disguised as the king, and ordered Cecil to get the crystals. I'll say this one more time, and I won't even return to this thread after this post; Play the game for REAL.
