It's also not so much it's hard to diagnose, you just need to see a specialist. (In MN we actually have a pediatric hospital devoted to accurate diagnosis and care of children with autism and other forms of PDD)
Also, we don't just babble about obsessions, it's more anything we can put passion into, or are interested in. We also get so caught up in what we're talking about we fail to notice people's lack of interest :|
It's hard to describe what it's like growing up with Asperger's Syndrome, other than difficult (duh)
I will say, I hate people who hide behind a condition and don't even bother trying to over come it. I didn't let it beat me, I learned to cope, develop skills, live life to the best that i can, as my condition is just bunch of hurdles; not a wall. Then i see people being like "oh..I have Asperger's (or any other condition), i can't help it."
My response: Suck a god damn dick. Yeah, it's a difficult as shit journey, but it's doable.
