If they are extending the life of the game, I don't see the problem with DLC. Would I prefer them do it VALVe style? Sure, but I also see no problem with paying for hard work. Now, I do not agree with cutting parts out of the game just to release as DLC. That's just ripping the customer off.

I dont mind paying for DLCs. It adds alot of replayablity and adds life to the game. As long as its decent in price. However there is ridiclous pricing for dlcs like call of duty games. Theres just a line that shouldnt be crossed in price.

Any DLC released and developed after the game's release is fine to pay for and understandable.
It's day one DLC, that has been developed BEFORE the game came out, that pisses me off.

Piracy isn't even an issue. Most people who pirate the game didn't intend to buy it in the first place. Hell, I've pirated games, then turned around and bought them cause they were awesome. I however, never intended to buy the game in the first place. DLC is a good and bad thing. DLC that addes new gameplay/map packs are worth it. DLC that adds new costumes/characters should be free or lumped into the other DLC.
