rofl i have that render,and bg is super messed up coz of that lighting and text needs to improve also the color of the bg doesn't match the render(you should've made the bg color same color as the hair of dat girl):

I'd say they both suck about the same amount. Your backgrounds distract from the renders in your sig, which is obviously a bad thing. Try to avoid warm colors in your sig (i.e. reds, yellows, etc.), and if you need them in there then darken them. Don't mix warm and cold colors either (greens, blues and purples are considered cool). Do that, and your stuff will look much better.
