    Default Top 3 Zombie Movies

OK, so October is coming up quick. Its time for scary movies.

I've been watching a lot of zombie movies lately, and I want everyone to tell me their top 3 zombie movies. Tell me why too if you have a minute.

I'm making my way through "Return of the Living Dead" for the first time and its so awesome haha. Smart zombies add a whole new twist to a classic.

28 Days Later is probably my favorite. I like how it wasn't just gore, it was real pretty at times. I also liked how toward the end their real enemies were other people, not the zombies.

As for the other two, I dunno. Shaun of the Dead is all I can think of that I really enjoyed, haha.

I've seen almost every single zombie movie I've ever heard anyone talk about. So I'm just kinda wondering what everyone elses favorites are.

I've seen a lot of the really shitty b-movie ones too. Some of those are really good haha.

the original Dawn of the Dead. it's not even scary at all, except maybe in a psychological horror way. I like it because it's a commentary on modern western society. also, SPOILERthe black guy doesn't die, so hooray for that

I don't watch too many, but I like Dawn of the Dead and Zombieland (For its style and Emma Stone).

    [REC] and [REC]2
(don't ever see them dubbed, unless you can't read)
The first U.S remake was ok too(Quarantine). The second one was shit though.
Probably be zombie movies I like most of all.

I throw my vote in with 28 days later as well.

The original Day of the Dead, as well as Night of the Living Dead. Solid acting, good casts, and George Romero's signature style of overly depressing and less-than-subtle societal commentary. The Dawn of the Dead remake is pretty solid too.

I've gotta second [REC]2. It's in Spanish, yes, but it has a nice twist on the zombie sub-genre.

I'm so surprised how everyone is saying 28 Days Later.

That is a good film, don't get me wrong, but its not even in my top 10.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. Make-a-da-world-go-round.

The only ones I haven't seen are the ones mentioned by hian and 2 by kait0s. Definitely will watch 'em soon. Probably tomorrow.

Im with you here. 28 days later is a fine movie, but not in my top.

Hian is right, Rec I, II are legit.

Sadly, a few of the movies i said might be tough to get your hands on.

Automaton Transfusion has probably one of the goriest, out of control killing, zombie film ever made.

    Saun of the Dead,
    28 Days,
and I really liked The Walking Dead TV series.
Zombieland is also pretty damn good.

Never been a big Zombie nut, but i don't mind them and when mixed with comedy well they can be great.

Shaun of the dead (one of my all time fav movies)
    Zombieland (pretty funny at times)
Stake land (was also pretty good)
The Walking Dead (i know it's not a movie but a fairly good series)

    But is it good? >_>

Guess I'll go watch Rec saw it the other day and was wondering if it was worth watching.

And Walking Dead Comic > TV Series.(Was nice to see it with real peoples and stuff but I think they changed up the story a lil bit too much)

    That aside

Can't really say what my top 3 are I really liked Shaun of The Dead, Zombieland, 28 Days Later, Dawn/Day of the Dead, The Return of The Living Dead, Dead Snow, Versus...then again I guess I just really like Zombie movies : 3

Alot of good zombie flicks mentioned. But quarnatine is also worth a mention. Although its a remake. The spanish version REC. Is alot better. The remake was well done though.

Yeah Rec 1 and 2 are amongst my favorites in zombie flicks. Espically considering its not your standard zombie flick once Rec 2 explains the plot more. Rec 3 is being made as well. Quarnatine was done really well for a remake. But quarnatine 2 was made just to bank cash off the franchise and was really bad and had zero to do with the plot. Plus the Rec creator said he didnt authorize quarnatine 2.

    Hollywood. Go fiqure.

Though it's not exactly a movie, I'd definately reccomend 'we're alive'.

It's an episodic audio book about zombies, which is completely free and pretty good so far.
