Reputation: 366Allods all the way. Allods isn't cash shop heavy. The cash shop only allows you to progress slightly easier(which doesn't make that much of a difference). Yes you can buy crystal chips to create runes which will boost your attack and defense up to 30%(lvl 4 runes are default pretty much now).
But by the time you will even need them you'll have enough gold to buy crystal chips for gold and make all the lvl 4 runes and maybe even few lvl 5.
tl;dr - If you are a lazy **** then Allods will be "cash shop dependant" for you. However, if you are willing to put at least some small effort into gearing your hero then you won't need to spend a dime.
Thanks for the kind adviceOne more thing Is there any difference with USA and EU version? Is EU like abandoned and ears before USA or not?
Reputation: 366Well last time I played Europe it wasn't that bad. Yes it is slightly underpopulated but I don't consider that a problem. However, I would still go with US version because there is absolutely no difference in net lag/ping and US is more populated than EU.
Reputation: 15Just started Iris it's really fun , dunno about cs but I saw ppl selling gpoints for ingame currency so you can get anything from cs without spending a dime![]()
Reputation: 366One important thing about Runes. Runes WILL be required when you will reach end-game. Traditionally all raiding guilds require lvl 4 runes to join them and since lvl 4 runes don't cost that much Crystal Chips you should be able to get enough gold from the dailies.
But until early lvl 40s you don't need to think about them at all because you won't even need them.
And I'll be damned if anybody from this forum will even get to lvl 30.
Marcipaans is really helping me right nowI have tryed to play like 3-4 times now and the main reason I quit is the slow leveling..
Question about Allods: Are psi's still the punching bag of the devs?
Reputation: 366Well you'll have to get used to that slow leveling. You can play around 2 hours a day(3-4 hours later on after you hit lvl 30) until you are out of fatigue and then you are done for the day. But if you do quests after the fatigue is depleted you will just **** yourself up.
But that's what guilds are for. I joined up a guild and sometimes when I still wanted to play but was out of fatigue we just did random stuff together. So I would say that a guild is a pretty essential thing too in this game.
Haven't played one but the ones I've fought seemed pretty strong, definitely not weak. But as a warden I still managed to kill em.Question about Allods: Are psi's still the punching bag of the devs?
Kudos to you then. The slow progression in this game would make most of the people to quit before lvl 20. That's just how this forum rolls. And the last time I tried getting people from this forum to play this game most of them wouldn't even play it again after playing for 2 hours for the first time.
So uh, Allods.. quest grind?
Reputation: 15for Allods, i left after the doom patch but from what I understand, they haven't returned the game to the glory days before the patch hit.
for Iris, I got turned off because I heard that pvp cash shoppers were griefing in the next zone over I was in so I thought, screw it. im not going to waste my time on games that allow that.
